Hello !

I think that it was my favorite episode so far ! When the last episode was an action episode, this one was made entirely for the character of Ahsoka, to go deeper with her. And I just loved all of the symbolic behind her scenes with Anakin : she was fighting him but killing him wouldn't have been a win.

This flashback was there for her to face the fact she is a part of Anakin's legacy, whether she wants it or not, but it doesn't mean that she's like him. He's a part of her, forever, because he was her Master and a big part of her life. Her deciding to not kill but still winning against him, it was her accepting that fact. The rest of the episode with Ahsoka talking with the wales to finally follow them… it was sweet, really peaceful in comparison.

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

AHSOKA 1X05 EXTENDED REACTION

Aaaaah, it's cool that the creator mentioned it ! Because for me, it's something really obvious since the first episode. For sure, for that relationship between Ahsoka and Sabine, but I felt also they would explore the bond between Shin and Baylan (I really have the impression a betrayal is possible). And the fact they mentioned, and then they took an entire episode, for Anakin and Ahsoka, it's just another proof. The legacy conversation was just the confirmation of it.

Thanks a lot for that ! I think this show makes a good job to make new viewers welcomed : we feel we miss stuff, but not all along the story, and it's subtile, and they explain the real things like the backgrounds and all. But I say it again : it's clearly not the good show to come (back) to SW shows. You need to know Ahsoka from another show at least (The Mandalorian and Tales of the Jedi for me), and to know where we're standing on the timeline.

as for the content of this review. I can't express how right you are about how well made that whole experience between Ahsoka and Anakin was. it is even better than you think. because it doesn't matter how much of rebels or clone wars you see you still get something amazing out of it. the thing is the more you know chance are you may see something else entirely from it. I can't say much about some of those things due to spoilers. I have never to my knowledge seen something where many people ahve seen the same thing and many people each come up with their own different interpretation of what they say that all sounds right. for example i have heard someone describe the choice to live or die as a choice between the light side of the force and the dark side. Some think that what she is experiencing is not just a dream. they think it is all real. there is potential proof for this idea. in that Anakin knows things that Ahsoka shouldn't know and he doesn't know things that Ahsoka does. for example in the begging of their fight Ahsoka says "I wont fight you." to which Anakin says "i've heard that before" In fact those he did hear those words in Return of the Jedi when Luke says to Vader "I wont fight you father" just before he throws away his lightsaber. Later when they reach the Siege of Mandalore Anakin is looking around in wonder. He has no idea what battle this is. for good reason, he wasn't there. so of course he wouldn't know. Those of use who have seen clone wars would know instantly where the battle was without her having to tell us and those like you who haven't don't need to know where they were because its not important to the story. the important part for you came next that they had already parted ways at that point. She had to tell him where they were, because Anakin, the character, didn't know where they were. that line was not actually for the audience. So if Ahsoka knew where it was, and the audience didnt' care or already knew as well, then the only reason it was said was to show us that Anakin didn't know. ie that he is actually there. the flashes of him then becoming vader is to tell us that within Anakin are still parts of him that were once Darth Vader. Some people think she was dead, and others think she was dying but not quite dead yet. and yet others think that the force ghost of Anakin skywalker didn't want Ahsoka to die and so he pulled into to that strange Force realm. So many different theories including some that i can't share. I love hearing all the theories. its just amazing that someone could make a something that you can watch and that seems different to everyone

Ok, so i think in the last comment i made i said that i thought since you have no knowledge of clone wars and rebels that you could see something that everyone else who does wouldn't see. well look at that. you went ahead and proved it for me. I have watched many reviewers/reactors most of which have seen the other shows. You are the first to point out the theme of Masters & apprentice. its true the creator literally said that is a major theme of this show, but most everyone else has overlooked that crucial aspect. some even want Ahsoka to leave Sabine since she isn't very strong in the force and take someone else like Jacen. But you were able to see past all the things they are blinded by to see what is at the very heart of this show. the Legacy of Masters and Apprentice. This is why i was so glad to be able to watch your review.

While i agree that if you had seen clone wars and rebels there are several moments that would have meant a lot more to you, but that said i'm really happy to be able to watch someone who knows nothing about those show watching this one. you give a truly unique perspective. and it really helps tell us how well the show did what it set out to do. which is to write a story using characters and themes with lots of history and present it to both an audience that knows that history and an audience that doesn't. more importantly if someone who doens't know that history can watch it and enjoy it while not dumbing it down for those of us who knows that history already. also you might have unique insights into things that those of use who know the history might not see, because we are so mired in that history. all in all i am happy to watch your review/reactions of these videos. all of that said do you have any plans to watch clone wars/rebels after ahsoka?

Real goosebumps for these moments, so well thought, so well done, I loved everything about this episode and it's my favorite so far ! And yes, everything still working, no issues this week so far 🤞

I'm a big Prequels and Clone Wars fan and this episode is a solid 11/10! The flashbacks from the Clone Wars are perfect and they nailed Captain Rex. Also the shifting between Anakin and Darth Vader gave me goosebumps and your reaction was priceless! By the way, I hope your air system and fridge are still working.
