In the intro, I told you that Min being a snitch felt so much like a betrayal that I was suspecting everyone : Elyas had to know that an attack was coming, and I felt something was wrong with Selene talking so much about her former lover. During this episode, I was like : okay, Elyas, you knew it, but you kept an eye on Perrin no matter what and here, you're surely gonna help him a lot. But Selene⦠since the opening scene with Ishamael making that woman appear⦠I KNEW IT WAS HER.
The entire episode, I felt bad about suspecting her because she seemed sincere sometimes, when she was saying nice stuff to Rand. But at the same time, she was showing she was still loyal now to her former lover, she was saying things which could mean other stuff⦠The ending scene was amazing ! For the poem to be revealed at the same time she was gonna show her true self to Rand, but Moiraine intervened just a little before, so Rand went mad and threatened her, but they finally ran away together, the Daughter of the Night coming back from the dead one second later⦠PERFECT ! I have to say it, I made a little dance of joy just after it : I felt so bad of suspecting her, so I was proud and glad she was truly someone bad !

First : I love your profile pic !!! When I received the notification of your message (like I do for each one of your messages guys), I was like "awwwww π", so I needed to say it π And yes, your son is right about that parallel between Rand and Perrin thinking they are monsters. In fact, if you think about it, it's a regular subject in books/movies/shows with teenagers involved, who have a great destiny. And in fact, it's clearly on purpose, it's the "fantastic" way to talk to teenagers about how they feel, about that period of time when you're a teenager and you feel so different, like no one can understand you, like you're so particular and no one sees it, and you feel like it's not normal etc. I read some papers about it (about Harry Potter for what I remember), and it was really interesting.

2023-09-12 07:37:01 +0000 UTCThis was another great episode. I love seeing your excitement at calling the Lanfear reveal correctly. And Liandrin continued to earn your ire this episode. Also, Hopper is so adorable. I love that he's connecting to Perrin because he lost his mate too. My son pointed out that there is a parallel between Rand and Perrin both fearing that they are a monster. But whereas Rand gets fake "acceptance" from Selene, the wolves know exactly what happened with Perrin and his wife because they can see into his mind, and they accept him fully.

This beautiful nice woman way more experienced who knows how to handle emotions better than he can is messing with his head :) . Cant he even mistakenly "love her" haha :)
