Hello !

These three episodes about Dooku were really interesting to understand how and for what reasons the Jedi went on the Dark Side. He wanted to defend weak people, he couldn't face injustice. And he understood that nothing he would do as a Jedi would be enough to go after senators and the system in place. Worst : people didn't trust the Jedis anymore to do the right thing.

So, little by little, he switched. At the point that it was too late, he knew he wouldn't be pardoned for the crimes he committed, he knew a lot of people died because of him (including his old padawan Qui-Gon) so it wouldn't make sense for him to renounce. I just LOVED his fight against Master Yaddle, it was so symbolic : her on the light, being crushed to let him fully into the dark, but still fighting, until the end. Dark can win but Light is never gonna give up, is always gonna fight.
