It was so cool to learn more about Tsu during this OVA ! You know how much I appreciate the girl. And it didn't surprise me to see her taking care of her siblings because she's really a mature girl in comparison to the other students. I was sad to see her being without any friends for a long time and so glad when she met her new best friend !
But with all of the scenes that they put for these two together, I had the impression that the writers put subtitles into that strong friendship. In some (old) shows and animes, they couldn't talk about gay relationships, so they disguised them like that and here, I had a little that impression. No matter what, I'm just glad that Tsu has a strong relationship like that in her life !

Hello ! Yes, I already watched them : the movie didn't contain any spoilers (but I understand that what is happening inside is not happening between seasons, chronologically, maybe a little later in the season), but the OVA surprised me a lot ! I took it as teaser for the season 3 🙈

2023-08-15 00:13:47 +0000 UTCHaha, I can imagine that an anime with that amount of characters, teenagers even more, is gonna create a lot of ships, a lot of romantic fanfics 😅 For me, Tsu and her friend here, I saw so many subtitles... I didn't see anything for Jiro and Momo, and in fact since Todoroki and Momo passed that test together, I had the impression to have some looks that Todoroki had on her 😅 Nothing at all for Tsu and Mineta (I would hate it), but I had the impression to have a lot of moments Jiro and Kaminari (?, I think it's him I'm thinking about, for example during the movie, she's giving him a lot of orders and all) but it might be more a sister/brother thing.

2023-08-14 16:44:49 +0000 UTCI also felt like there was subtle sapphic coding to Tsu's relationship with her friend here. I also think we have sapphic coding for Jiro and Momo btw. The community at large has a lot of ships that are lgbtq. For example some people actually ship Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki as a polycule :D . The one I like the least is people who ship Tsuyu with Mineta just because Tsu and Mineta are both socially awkward, Tsu deserves a lot better than that, come on!
