THE WIRE 1X12 EXTENDED REACTION

EXTENDED REACTION PART +12MIN, ONE VIDEO, ONE EPISODE OF ADVANCE, NO ADDS

LINK : https://e.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZkYjfZAkWcJWxPb07J3GjezuKpHVe8OYk0

Hello !

I was worried before the episode and when I learnt that Wallace was back, I knew it would be bad. Because we saw the lawyer giving advice to Avon about "cleaning" the place, people who might hurt him, and just the scene after that with him, he's asking D who was the boy who pointed at Omar's boy… I knew Wallace would be in danger, I was praying for the cops to find him first. But no. And it killed me that it was his friends who did it. Yes, I still name them friends. They were friends. But it's part of the game.

I loved D during this episode. He stood up for Wallace. He didn't want to say anything to Avon and Sting, even if it was putting him in a bad decision. Clearly, if he wasn't his uncle, D would have been killed for that, for covering a potential snitch. And then, it was not the threat of staying a long time in jail which made him mad, it's learning that they truly went after the kid. And he switched, he decided to get out of everything, it was the point of no return for him. I loved that.

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

THE WIRE 1X12 EXTENDED REACTION

Comments

The game is hard, but everyone knows the rules, the pawns like the king.

Laura Reactions

Je vais répondre en anglais pour que tout le monde comprenne 😊 : yes, Wallace's death was awful and even more because he was killed by the two persons he considered as his best friends, his brothers in arms. But pawns have to obey to the king, so they said it was rough but they pushed each other to do it no matter what.

One thing I love about The Wire is the way that it shows that how heartless some characters are, like Stringer or Wee-Bey, is something that has to be learned and enforced. You see the way it forces kids like Bodie and Poot to be heartless in order to prove themselves, it shows how none of the people in the game are psychopaths, it's the game itself that is pathological.

Switchbreak

Hello, another fantastic reaction again!
