This episode was beautiful, truly. For a return, that's a return ! All of the first scenes were impressive, with amazing drawings, intense musics, and also a lot of informations ! Remember that I didn't read the mangas, so be careful with the spoilers in the comments and be nice with my process of understanding stuff through the clues the anime gives me, little by little. At this point, I erased my first theories about the earrings and all, to regroup the info I already had to make a new one.
Upper One met Tanjiro's dad and we didn't have all of the flashback : he saved them (how, from what ?) and gave them the earrings and other stuff (we need the explanation of the mark on his forehead). Upper One was the guy we saw in Muzan's flashback. And when Rengoku's dad saw Tanjiro's earrings, that's why he was afraid and reacted like that, because he thought of that demon. I have other stuff to work on, like the Master who wants to get some honor back for his family.
The final scenes are opening a lot of stories for Tanjiro in this village : the swordman missing, Genya and his attitude, the two Hashiras who are present, the mystery weapon, the Mist Hashira who is insisting so much to have a key (for what ?) and who is working with Upper One ? Does he know who he is ?

Now that I think about it, if there is a family of sun breathers out there, it's possible that that's the family Michael Jackson is looking to destroy. @_@

2023-04-14 00:17:09 +0000 UTCHere's my theory: Upper Rank 1 is not the only sun breather. I don't think that he's the one that met Tanjiro's father because on multiple occasions, demons have mentioned that the upper ranks have not changed for *hundreds* of years. So if that was Upper Rank 1 *before* he became a demon, that flashback would have happened *hundreds* of years which is impossible because Tanjiro was just born at that time. So I think that Upper Rank 1 belongs to a family of sun breathers and they all have the same defining red hair (and earings I guess) as a common family trait, much like Rengoku's family and apparently Genya and Sanemi because they're brothers. So, with this theory, it's also possible that the guy in the forest with the Mist Hashira is not Upper Rank 1 but another sun breather. Also consider that that it was daytime when we saw that guy, so it's not likely to be a demon.

2023-04-12 11:57:57 +0000 UTCI have been waiting for the Upper Kizuki meeting for over a year, and they did it so justice! And all the voice actors fit their roles perfectly. And Doma, so goofy and oblivious, but also very creepy. Can't wait to see more of Doma (2) and Kokushibo (1). But as cool as they are, Akaza (3) is still my favourite, just respect his personal space lmao. Honestly me and Akaza are similar, we both work for an overbearing boss that can't be satisfied and hate our coworkers lol.
