Hello !
Let's begin a new anime together, guys ! When I made that poll on my patreon, it was the one which had the majority of votes, so I was excited to discover why you love it so much. This first episode confirmed one of the reasons why I wanted to try it : it's a new kind of animes, something more fun than the ones I reacted to (at least for what I saw), with a universe with superheroes and a little who has none. I was surprised, but the good way, by the drawings, but again, I like it, a new genre of animes to discover.
For the story and the characters we discovered during this first episode : Izuku (or Dekku ? I had issues understanding why Katsuki named him like that) is way too sweet, and I love that he doesn't want to give up on his dreams. His adoration of All Might is cool but at the same time, The Boys influenced me too much and at this point I didn't want to trust the guy was perfect and all. Katsuki ? Hated what he said to Izuku.

As far as why All Might's moves have names of American states (It's more covered in one of the movies not the anime) even though he is Japanese he spent his early pro hero days in America.

I’m really gladyou enjoyed the first episode of My Hero 🥳 I hit send before I was ready again, but I was gonna say that names will be easier to remember as you keep watching. For right now, you have Izuku Midoriya (the main character) and Katsuki Bakugo (the bully). Kacchan is just a nickname like you guessed. Deku is also a nickname but there’s a story behind it for later 👍

2023-04-03 11:49:10 +0000 UTCI don't know if you remember, but when you started watching Demon Slayer, I called Tanjiro one of the most wholesome characters ever written. Izuku/Deku is similarly made. Super wholesome. Love them. Looking forward for you to discover this anime more.
