Hello !
As someone used to watch apocalypse shows and movies, I'm not surprised to have an episode about a religious community who turned bad because someone had a God syndrome and became a dictator. Same for the cannibal thing : when they said they would eat Veninson, my brain automatically said "okay, they're gonna eat someone". But as a french person, I was like "or maybe it's a word that I don't have, a reference for an animal, like the Teddy bears, something like that". Clearly, my face during the diner scene is epic, I laughed a lot during the editing.
Ellie fighting for her life and destroying the guy, it felt great during the moment because we were afraid for her, the guy was such a psychopath. And I don't think her rage came from a violent heart like the guy wanted her to believe, but more from the fear she felt, that survival instinct. But I'm afraid now she might believe so. The reunion with Joel felt so nice, and for both of them : they were both fighting, being forced to kill, because they wanted to see the other one, to be sure he/she would be okay, so here we can feel how relieved they were. And also that Ellie lets her guard down, becomes really Joel's daughter, and vice versa, he takes care in his arms, reassures her, puts his coat on her. Like her dad.

Haha, I just imagine them at the writing table being like "what if we call that actor to play that role so we can kill him again but for a different reason, and only the players would know and..." with hysterical evil laughs 😂

It's a little fucked up yes, but it's also a funny wink to the players of the game 😅😊 Oh, and I'm not sure the little girl is eating her dad ! The guy is Venison and her father was named Caleb if I remember it right. But she would have, later, I think he was one of the bodies that Joel saw later.

"game tommy" was henry and got a good death too. its lots of fun easter eggs deaths for game players also shows they value the original cast a lot which I really appreciate. They werent just voice actors they were mocap and were literally the original cast and Im glad they are being given representation in the show.
