All of them did bad stuff, all of them suffered. I've been repeating it since episodes, since seasons, that at this point, nothing counts, no one can win, that they're all encouraging the hate of the other one and the fact it can't end. So for ALL of the characters, on ALL sides, to verbalize it during this episode… It felt so good. Except for Eren. Summoning our guys into that place to tell them they have to give up on trying to convince them, he gave still infos through that. He materialized himself as a kid, because right now, he thinks that he accomplished what this kid dreamed of, that he's free.
But I said it in Chapter 1 when he was falsely flying in the sky (when he was in fact flying over dead bodies, millions of people he killed), he didn't do it. He thought that being free would mean flying away, discovering the world, with his friends. Here he's all alone and he's killing everyone. And he's saying to his friends that they can try to kill him, it's logical. I said it just after that moment and I screamed THANK YOU to Armin who asked the same question to Eren at the end : "Is it really the freedom you wanted, Eren ?" Really, for me, Part 2 is gonna be about that : our guys responding to that question, what you're doing now, is it what you dreamed of ? Important thing also with what Reiner said and Mikasa clicked on : maybe Eren wants them to stop him ? Maybe all of his journey is pushing him to do all of that, but deep inside, that little kid wants one of them to stop him ? Mikasa ?

For me the beginning of Chapter 1 was for the pro-genocide viewers : first, it's a genocide, you can't deny it ; second, a genocide, it's that, it's killing everyone, kids and adults, they suffer, it's pain, it's violent, it's awful ; third, Eren knows it and he's sorry also about it, it made him cry, say he's sorry to that kid. And during the two chapters, the characters are discussing it and come to the same conclusion : all of that is awful and can't be the answer, both sides suffered and they want that to stop, they're ready to recognize their mistakes, their sins, and to get over it, and to collaborate. I'm so okay to have this divided in two parts, like you said, I'm not sure I would have been okay watching everything in one day. Levi... I really think he can die at this point, and even more because he made that promise to kill the Beast Titan and here, we're gonna have a lot about that (maybe the entire Chapter 3), and with AOT, it's a win for a loss, so... And maybe I believe into it also so much, because I want to be prepared if/when it's gonna happen, you know, my mind is conditioned to think it, so the shock and the pain are gonna be "less" high... 😅🙈

2023-03-06 12:19:31 +0000 UTCI think I figured out why I liked them releasing it like this. After an entire hour of it all, I am pretty exhausted. So I'm okay with a cliffhanger ending because I'm too tired to want more. I enjoyed the base commander's speech. I feel like that's targeted to all the pro-genocide viewers. This reminds me of Sasha's dad back in Paradis and how he knew it was the adults' burden and responsibility to move past these issues. Now I'm thinking about Sasha again and I wanna cry T_T I disagree with Levi dying. I really don't think that will happen. They've already taken half his face, several fingers, and A LOT of his friends. If they were going to kill him, they would have done it already. Clearly, he's just too cool to die. :))
