Hello !

I felt that we would have the answer about Clone Beth in the final episode of this season. So I was shocked but not surprised to see a new Beth appearing at the beginning. But you also quickly saw that I didn't want to choose between these two : one accomplished what Beth always wanted and went on what seemed wonderful and heroic adventures, the other one managed to find a real balance into this family and worked a lot on her relationship with Rick.

I don't agree at all with Rick's conclusion about the memory he discovers : first, he erased that memory from his mind because he didn't want to be tempted to say what truly happened to the Beth staying with him and he wanted to live fully the moment with his daughter, whoever she was truly (with that idea that at the end he would merged them both in one unique Beth). And it's for the same reason that he mixed up the bodies, to not know. For me, for once, he acted like a dad and loved her daughter no matter what. When Beth, at the beginning, made a mistake : you never let anyone decide what your life is gonna be.

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

Oooooh, he touched my heart way before that, at many occasions ! Just think about how I reacted when he tried to kill himself 😭

there is a philosophy described as "nihilism" but I don't really study what it is. There is a good version of it that says "nothing matters, nothing is important - but that just means everything is equally important." It is the personal outlook of whether the glass is half-empty or half-full yet it's the same. If there is no moment that is more important than other moments then all moments are equally important (or unimportant). This would apply to people or beings as well, and therefore a clone which is supposed to be a duplicate can be as real as the original, or could even be an improvement. From the moment they diverge they are undergoing different experiences and both becomes real and separate. One could end up more important through circumstance but at the root, at the origin they are actually equivalent.

Good reaction to this one! There is a case to be made that both Beths are real. When we wake up in the morning we could be clones of our yesterdays but we are still real.

So many things happened! It's a great episode! So many funny parts... and great callbacks! Actually there was also a guy with his dog in the end scene... we know that guy, that was an homage to a real person. Regarding the therapist... she was safe, Rick made sure she survived too. I was watching the episode again where she was introduced, with Jaguar. It's funny Rick started opening up to Jaguar on the plane, without being prompted he started talking about his life, actually specifically about "his daughter" which seems to be always in his mind. At the end of that episode Rick says to Morty regarding Jaguar "That's why you don't go to therapy" which is a joke but I still think he confides with his "comrades in arms" and not to therapists. That seems to be what Rick thinks but he does need therapy regardless, maybe it's just that anyone who gets close to him he believes will be in danger. Yes we saw the therapist really was in danger, caught in the crossfire and it could have been worse. Once again a clue that Rick distances himself from other people to keep them from harm. He is cognizant that danger could come at any time which was proven in this episode. There is always collateral damage, many people on Earth were randomly vaporized in fact.

I think in the end Rick was about to open the door then changed his mind. The family did not want to know and he respected that and so as not to interfere he had to sit in the garage for a while. He's considerate when no one is looking - or rather it's not necessary to have an audience to do the right thing.

Today Rick finally touch Laura's heartstring =P ...
