Hello !

"I feel sick" was my first thought at the end of this episode. I think it tells you what I thought of it : we began it with Jerry being so alone and sad, and even when Rick comes to take him on an adventure I feel glad for only 5 seconds and then immediately I wonder what does it hide. I was surprised to see that Rick would want that much to please Morty, but not that much when Morty confesses that he lied about the reason why. Him, being tired of all of these bullshits, people around him lying so much ? I've been saying it since episodes. And here, this episode clearly shows that he knows ALL of them by heart, how they feel, what they want and think.

Yeap, I cried during this episode. Because it truly hurt me that Rick would say things like that to Jerry. To think it is already awful but to say it to someone, it's breaking my heart. Yes, maybe the writers touched something inside of me right there. I know that the fact Jerry thought it would be ok to kill Rick is not good at all. But Rick confessing he destroys his marriage on purpose is not right either.

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

oh wait, you also mentioned the theory that Morty could be Rick. This is actually not an uncommon thought - I never thought this myself but I just heard this was one of the fan theories. But you probably are not aware but there are no instances of time travel in any of the episodes you've seen. The writers say there is no time travel. There is a "box on the shelf" labeled time travel stuff - they are there on the shelf to signify they are not being used. If we see time travel it is by the testicle monsters who are time cops and they beat up Einstein by accident. Rick has never time traveled as far as we can see. He always calls it interdimentional travel.

regarding being blocked by youtube, I think it is common for certain episodes. The copyright holder wants certain specific episodes to be restricted. Often these are "key" episodes and it seems like they are very strict only on those particular episodes. For example "maybe" the Pickle Rick episode is so popular they want to be strict about it. Or about the 1st episode of season 3 there are key backstory elements that maybe they want to restrict that as well to keep those episodes from being spoiled for future fans.

Without condoning or condemning I'll say..., Jerry thought he was going to his execution, to be thrown out into deep space somewhere. In response Rick says no. He then crafts Jerry some pants. Jerry then decides to kill Rick. Then Jerry changes his mind. In response Rick does not seem to hold a grudge while Jerry appears to deny his guilt. They do have a conversation while Rick is crafting their escape and transportation while saving Jerry from being eaten. Rick reiterates that killing Jerry or letting Jerry die is never an option.

This is between Rick and Jerry and I stay out of it. They are dueling each other in their own way - thrust, parry, riposte.

I understand your point of view, and I understand mine seems delusional. Maybe. Surely 🙈😂

It's one of my favorite episodes, especially how Rick tears down Jerry. It has been amazing to watch you side with Jerry, which at first is endearing. But at this point, and especially in this episode, we see Jerry as the pathetic individual he is. Opportunistic when he doesn't have to get his hands dirty, craven when caught in his lies, and an inability to man up. And I don't mean that last as in the macho-manly-man-toxic way, but his inability to take responsibility for his actions. He is not "nice", just subtle in his awefulness. He is just as flawed as the rest of his family, but not in an outwardly brash way that makes it obvious, but in a simpering, passive-aggressive way. Walking dead Jerry, while being probably the best personal growth for a Jerry, still shows these traits too. I appreciate your protective nature for Jerry, but he is not deserving of it.
