After the therapy session of the last episode, I watched this new adventure as a new exploration into Rick's mind. And clearly, he's getting mad that Morty considers the Vindicators as heroes (and not him) so he does what he always does when he's in face of an issue he can't resolve, an emotion he can't express : he drinks. So Drunk Rick prepared all of these Saw games to prove the Vindicators are not special, not honest, not united and not nice. Well done, Drunk Rick, you destroyed your grandson's heroes.
Morty, during this episode… I'm so worried for him because, episodes by episodes, we saw him getting so tired of Rick's bullshits. Right here, even if he showed how much he knows Rick and at the end that he still has hope for Rick to love him back as much as he does himself, the conclusion is bad and Morty is mad. Again. I'm really worried for Morty, but also for the relationship between these two, after a second season which was already eroding it, now…

2022-11-17 18:43:17 +0000 UTClol, that was a fun attempt at using the word zeitgeist, here is the definition of the word, Zeitgeist - is the common ideas and attitudes of folks in a particular time and place in history, often used in literature, philosophy and politics. Now go out there and call out the zeitgeist! 😁😅 you know, for fun and giggles.

2022-11-17 18:35:36 +0000 UTCLet's use the word "zeitgeist" 😊😅 I always wanted to use that word. This RM episode from 2017 mostly pre-date today's "bad superhero" zeitgeist. This was an early example of "challenging" super-hero behavior. In 2018 Marvel released Infinity War which portrayed noble and self-sacrificing heroes (the norm!) Then in 2019 we get Brightburn then 2 months later we get The Boys, in 2021 we get Invincible. And so today's superhero zeitgeist is no longer the clear cut do-gooders of the past...!
