Hello !

Here we go again with some episodes of Twilight Zone because I have a little gap on my schedule but not enough to begin a whole new bingewatching, and I never forget that project of reacting to the best episodes of the show. And clearly, this one represents well all of what I like in this show : with one story, we can explore a lot of deep subjects, and everything is still accurate now in our societies, it can make everyone think about the world we live in.

For sure, here, we have another time the subject of the books being explored, the fact that people are mocking the ones still reading. And here it's worse than that, it's forbidden, it's obsolete. And a librarian would be the worst profession ever, so much that you can be eliminated because of it. It's an episode also about dictatures, eliminating people who don't fit with what they think/want, and considering only the state, the crowd, destroying the idea of being an individual with personal feelings and rights. Words and freedom, that's the subject of this episode.
