This episode is one of the few of this anime which are mind blowing, changing everything. To have the two brothers going into their dad's memories (through the paths, or even from the real world ?), ok, but to see they can have an impact on them… From just being a presence, then a voice, but also to be able to have a physical interaction ? And these big reveals, PLURAL : the Attack Titan's ability is to see the future, and that's why Grisha (and now Eren) did what he did, because he knew it would happen, but he didn't want to, he tried to give up, to have his free will, and Eren took that away, was the one to push his dad to commit that.
Because Eren knew also it would happen and he needed that to happen so the future that he himself saw, could happen. But again, where is your free will in that, Eren ? You're "obeying" to what you saw, and that's what I felt since the beginning of the season, that he was on a mission, that he/someone gave to him, and that's why he was not listening to everyone and it's now him vs. the rest of the world. And Grisha, you know it, and you saw what Eren is gonna do, the "terror" is gonna do…
