After the last episode, I thought that Aethelflaed's health was not good, but that much… To think that we could lose her, it was already sad, but to have her being forced to not say it to Uthred, the love of her life and have this awful goodbye, to have her saying it to her mother, and also to my dear Aldhelm, her protector, but not to her daughter… I was even more sad. But her, talking about Alfred and his dream, you lost me, I cried. And it's not gonna be the last time !
I said it in review, for me how Brida was written and presented during these first episodes was not good (I know now that it changed after that, and I'm glad) : for her to want her revenge that much it's logical, for her to be cruel that's not a surprise, but for her to act like she's someone crazy that's not right. First because we didn't see what happened to her during the time jump and it was never said, so it's not justified enough. And second because with all of the seasons we spent with her, all of what she lived, all of the emotions she has, how conflicted we know her, she can't be ONLY that. Brida is more than "cruel and crazy".
