There were spots here and there that hinted at chemistry between Walt and Carmen in earlier episodes. This episode wasn't so obtuse. The look on your face when Walt and Carmen were talking was priceless. I was waiting for you to call her on it. Cause her body language made it very clear she was interested.

"there are smarter ways" speaking of Jesse, and then "Druggies well I not what to offend them" hahahaha

Always thought this episode does a good job of bringing the audience back to reality where Walt and Jessie are concerned. Shows the real results of their "product" in a way that the show hasn't really done yet. A reminder they are not the good guys even if you are rooting for them right now.

That’s good to hear! I’ve just begun jacking the volume to the absolute max. Haha which is crazy cus on my end it’s blaring loud even when it’s on the lowest setting 🤣 whatever works, right? LOL

Teegan Cusato

heyyy, the volume is fixed :D \o/ only starting the ep now, but it seems you sorted that problem for now anyway :)

I mean I think she is right to be upset. He is involving her in a lie, a lie that will eventally come out, not because it's TV but because lies come out in the end. Especially given she has no idea how he is paying for it which frankly given no insurance in her mind must mean some form of crime as the source. He then asks her not to tell Elliot, so to lie to her husband like he is his wife It is a totally unreasonable request to make of anyone to lie to their partner. Gretchen is completely correct imo not wanting to be involved in a lie that will blow up in her face

I'm not sure if this is cannon or not but because Jessie tells the kid to have a good life he grows up and becomes the lead singer of Simply Red singing their hit "Holding Back the Years" ...And then Walt has the gall to call Gretchen and Eliot "prideful people" when telling Skyler why Gretchen didn't come out and say that they're broke. Talk about projecting. I'm trying to think of a "good" person in this show. Walt Jr. and Hank are on the short list. Everyone else is at least flawed if not downright evil. Jessie has a heart, but he also kills people because of his drug cooking and dealing. Walt is mild-mannered but chooses to cook meth and ruin lives and kill people for the flimsiest of reasons. As you pointed out, he could have avoided being an evil criminal by taking Gretchen and Eliot's help. I agree with the others that you're killing it! You are rolling through the Star Wars movies like the Millennium Falcon made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs. I hope you enjoyed President's Day with your daughter. Some day soon maybe you'll be able to teach her how to use The Force.

Your instinct on Walt isn't wrong. He is indeed a horrible person.

Another great reaction. And it just baffles me that even though Gretchen knew he had lied and involved them in the lie, she still said that the offer was still open to him…and he responded with the crazy eyes. Sinful pride, anger, and hate.

A lot of Breaking Bad sleuths cite Walt's restaurant scene with Gretchen as one of the most important scenes in the series. Walt is basically blaming his ex girlfriend for his problems and choices. This is where he truly turns into Heisenberg.

This episode was a very well done episode and got Aaron an Emmy nomination for his work in this episode, along with the entire season also getting a Emmy nomination citing this episode specifically, among other reasons as well... 'Breaking Bad' is a show where any time you r thinking it is great, it somehow steps it up a notch again. Then again. And then again... The only people I can think of that can possibly not be liking this show are the cast and creators of 'Mad Men' on account of how many Emmys went to BB instead of MM, year, after year, after year...and unlike MM, BB doesn't "jump the shark" I appreciate watching this along with ya. You have been killing it on this channel, and have stepped it up noticeably so very well recently. Keep it all coming. Ignore the hate, if any. Thank-you.
