Ali Rambles: Trying Snacks and Yapping :P

✨ If you don’t like eating sounds this ramble may not be for you haha! XD I yap a lot too so it isn’t just eating. But even so, I wanted to give a heads up!

Hey, I appreciate you giving it a shot! :D I know you said you really didn’t like eating sounds so it’s much appreciated. But of course never feel pressured to listen, ok? And that goes to others reading too: some sounds aren’t for everyone and that’s totally fine! ❤️ As for your car comment, at least you didn’t come out of the store one day to find a guy peeing >_> Granted that was in CA, but yeah…he was just doing his business right next to my car 💀

Don’t apologize for your comment, I love both the feedback and talking to you all! To you or anyone else reading never feel shy to comment, ok? I do genuinely enjoy conversing with you all ❤️ I’m happy to hear you had a nice time at the convention! I’ll be posting a ramble later tonight so feel free to tell us about your time if you’d like :D It’s been a while since I’ve been to one so I’d love to hear about your experience. I also enjoyed the marshmallow sounds despite the taste haha! XD I’ve been trying to think of something I can use it for, or incorporate into a story/character rather 🤔 As for the wafer container, I think it may have been some sort of metal yes! :) It wasn’t really heavy or thick though so I’m not entirely sure…definitely more sturdy than plastic though! If you try the deconstructed onigiri bowl I hope you like it! :D I try to make it taste pretty “traditional” or as best I can in bowl form haha! But there’s definitely a lot of things you could add to it too! ✨

Ya know... that wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be! The marshmallows sounded like extra squishy ear noms actually, and probably my fave of the bunch. And with that wine recommendation ...I feel like I'm gonna need to make a stop at Trader Joe's, I always just feel like I'm going to come back to my car with some nasty scratches and door dings though haha. Last time there was a friggin butt print in the dirt on the side of my car haha. Also... not the first time I've heard someone talking about onigiri in a bowl.. my cousin will sometimes make the same thing... think Ima need to make some too because it sounds good!

Thank you for the Sounds Ramble! It's fun to hear the experimentation going on. I tried to give opinions on each sound as feedback, just in case it's useful at all ^^ Apologies if it's too long or too much. And as always thank you for asking after our weekends! On my end, it's been a good weekend, I attended a convention that's been going on—which is why I'm a bit late to this ramble (^_^") Plenty of time for my favorite little con activities—cosplay sighting, manga-buying, random panel-visiting, the usual con fare. I got a lot of small highlights but it's pretty late right now and I'm dead tired so I might share those when I'm better rested (">_<) --- Marshmallow tapping sound was surprisingly satisfying, I didn't expect something so squishy to have such a solid sound, it was almost both scratching and tapping at once and I absolutely loved it. Sounded good eating, too, idk how to say it but it sounded almost wet? Like, the same class of sound as slime but not *quite* as liquid-y and still recognizably chewing instead of squishing, idk if that makes sense lol Sorry about the taste, though, that might be a killer :/ Store marshmallows aren't *bad* but they definitely aren't great without campfire roasting either. I kinda got ruined on store-bought after the first time I made them homemade, it's an entirely different (and imo) better food. --- Pop Rocks for Jolteon is absolutely genius, whoever came up with that needs a raise ^^ I haven't been in the candy aisle in forever so I haven't had my eye out, but I'm surprised that they aren't everywhere anymore, they're such a fun concept and I thought a classic like that would never go out of style. --- The container for the Not Pocky sounds really nice, too. Is it a metal container? It sounded sharper and more satisfying than anything plastic that I would've expected. The eating sound was a pretty normal crunching sound, which is good for me. Kinda making me want to go to Trader Joes and see if I can find it myself with that coffee comment, though. Been drinking more of it recently and could use a good go-along. Also I don't think I realized you recorded in your closet before you said that crumbs bit! It makes sense and all, I just hadn't thought about it before now. --- The wine bottle sound is a really good glass tapping sound. Glass was never as satisfying to me as tapping on more solid stuff, like on metal or especially stone, but this was really nice for it. --- Seaweed as a snack definitely doesn't fit with the rest, a lot more umami than sweet, but I'm glad you tried it, I'm a big fan of 'em. The eating sound was pretty normal, which for me is good. I think I said it before, but eating sounds are just better in ASMR contexts?? Like, I can't stand someone sitting next to me during a meal chewing too loud, but that same sound in earbuds with no background noise is quite nice for me. --- The deconstructed onigiri sounds like a really good idea, I can't believe I've never thought of that myself, I just jumped straight to learning how to get the classic triangle shape. Now I kinda want to try it your way, not just cause it's a smidge faster, but also because I can play with the rice-to-filling ratio a lot more \(^o^)/

It's funny to me that I decided to listen to this during the time I was playing DOOM. Just picturing the Doom Slayer listening to asmr while slaughtering thousands of demons seems like the funniest thing to me all day. Glad I decided to listen to this before my doctor visit tomorrow.

Had a great week so far - though I swear the days have been speeding by. It's already almost weekend again! 😅 Hope your week's been going well, too! I could really relate to the whole texture thing you brought up - and honestly, I don't think it’s strange at all. Marshmallows instantly bring to mind that slightly powdery, soft squishiness. It's hard to describe exactly, but I'm sure y'all know what I mean. xD If you like marshmallows, I think you'd really enjoy the German sweet called "Schokokuss" as well! It's a dome-shaped marshmallow foam on a small wafer, coated in chocolate. Really good! Especially if you microwave them for a few seconds and then eat them with a spoon. Just fluffy goodness! :3 Some textures are honestly a hard pass for me. Around Easter, the shops here start selling these "fondant eggs", which are basically flat, molded sugar blocks shaped like eggs or rabbits. The texture is kind of like marzipan but way, waaaay harder and more brittle - like biting into a slightly softened sugar brick. They're super sweet, too. Like… overwhelmingly sugar. Definitely not my thing. I can't even touch them without cringing. xP So yeah, texture can absolutely ruin the experience - I'd take something soft, or if crunchy, something caramelized or savory like chips or crackers any day. Sad that the marshmallow didn't taste great, but soundwise it definitely brought something new to the table. No wonder you wanted to experiment with it - it really did stand out! :D Also, wafer cookies / sticks? Soooo good. Especially with a piping hot cappuccino. Didn't expect them to sound that tingly either!
