Roleplay poll #73 & QOTW 🐙 ✨ 💜
Added 2025-01-27 22:49:16 +0000 UTCHello Ali cats, I hope you all had a good Monday or whatever day you’re reading this :) I wanted to do something a little more interactive with my next Ash in the Void chapter. I suppose chapter isn’t the right word- I think it’s finally time I did a proper audio roleplay with her considering I’ve done my other characters :P
With that thought in mind, please pick one of the treats below. It will tie into the roleplay with my character Ash in an upcoming audio! ✨
Question of the week is something on the funny side. Well, funny now- maybe not when it happened haha! What’s something that you tried to cover up but it was obvious that you did it? Back when I was learning how to drive I backed into my dad’s tool shed. I don’t know why I thought I could get away with that one 😅

It was a sandwich roll he just put the 1 in. We found he had thrown it in the outside garage to try and hide it, it looked like a lump of coal 😂

2025-02-04 16:45:08 +0000 UTCHaha that’s a good one! XD I remember my mom asking me one night if I did my homework. To give myself credit I usually did but this one assignment I knew I could do on the bus the next morning so I lied and said yes. Sure enough she checked and woke me up to finish it because I lied 😭 😂

2025-01-30 19:40:07 +0000 UTCNot really something I did but more I didn't do. I was 8 or so and didn't want to take a shower or brush my teeth one night and my dad asked if I did. I said yes and then he says "why are the walls not wet," then "why is your towel still dry," and finally "your toothbrush isn't even wet. Did you really think I wouldn't notice?" My dad's a plumber, I tried to outsmart a man who makes a living on checking pipes. 😅

2025-01-30 04:52:26 +0000 UTCPerhaps the story I gave before was too disturbing. Let me try again. There was a time when I was a child where I would play with my friend's mirror. It was one of those large, swiveling mirrors. I would rolls toy cars down it. My friend said not to do that, I did it anyway and the mirror ended up falling out of place and shattering. He and his mother got so mad at me and I denied what happened. Apparently I blamed it on the cat. Unthinkable, I know. :(

2025-01-29 22:47:08 +0000 UTC... I wasn’t going to admit that, but I am also the Eldest but shortest trope. (Damnit, Edward Elric!) Granted, it's not so much that I'm short, but my siblings all fully inherited my father's raw Nordic height (6'6") or close to it, whereas I got cut off right at 6 flat... maybe 6'1" in my boots... Whatever.. I-i'm not bitter about it.. xP And, having never gotten to have a big sis, I see no issues here! Works really well for a lot of your roleplay vibes, too. (Gap Moe ftw? Lol.) :3 I think it's sort of just how things go, that we tend to develop better relationships with parents as we grow older... I'm happy for you to hear you feel good about your relationship with your mum. Even for those of us who are the most independent, it's nice to have some family bonds. <3 You are so kind to and take such good care of all of us, so it puts me at ease to know you have someone looking after you too~

2025-01-29 11:55:18 +0000 UTCI do enjoy being the eldest! I agree that it’s definitely shaped me for sure- very much a big sis kinda person even when I’m not trying to be lol. The only thing is that most my siblings are very tall so it’s little strange that the eldest is much shorter than them lol 😂 I totally get the tattoo and hair dye thing too. For me it was mainly my mom being extremely religious. Not that it’s a bad thing but it brought its own set of issues growing up. It’s not perfect but I think we’ve both done some growing over the years at understanding the other ^_^

2025-01-29 11:36:01 +0000 UTCNgl, the chocolate decoration story is so cute lol. I used to take candy canes from the Christmas tree all the time to make peppermint hot chocolate haha! XD

2025-01-29 11:25:08 +0000 UTCSkelly, what in the world even made you think of trying that to begin with? Lol 😆 I mean hey, I get it. I loved my PS2 and would have done anything to save it so I don’t blame you for getting creative! I am sorry that it melted though- RIP 🙏

2025-01-29 11:23:58 +0000 UTCOh my gosh, I’m so sorry that happened! 😭 I really resonated with this because now that I have an apartment again one of my biggest fears is causing smoke while cooking. I’m pretty careful but the thought of the alarm going off terrifies me 💀

2025-01-29 11:19:04 +0000 UTCThe classic experience haha! I think we’ve all done something like this at one point for sure. I remember back when I got the backlight for my gameboy advance. Oh boy did that start a lot of staying up late and hiding it when I heard my mom come to check on me 😂

2025-01-29 11:16:20 +0000 UTCHaha~! Say no more about the blonde, I think I get it. My poor sister (who was not only the singular girl, but also the youngest.) faced down so many living vicariously/projection battles with my mum. Being the eldest is certainly it's own mantle, isn't it?! I'm sure it was the start of my guardian complex, but I would never trade it away. xD I lived the classic format of 'breaking the barriers' and getting in huge trouble for things so that my siblings could then do them later and not get in as much trouble, if any. Lol. My father was intensely Military, (Which I honestly love about him but as a kid it came with some conflicts obviously.) and to him hair dye was simply 'not something for boys'. And man did my mum lose her mind when I moved out and got tattoos. It's the little things. x3 Funny how some of those things seem so insignificant to us but obvious to fathers. It's gotta be that Dad sense. Something. Little dings and dents that are so insignificant to me that I wouldn’t even notice them (especially since idgaf about cars) are like spotlights to those guys! Honestly he probably felt it on the spiritual plane when you hit that shed even before he ever saw it. Lmao. The tingle was already in his bones. :p

2025-01-29 01:42:51 +0000 UTCI'll be honest, I don't think I've tried to cover much stuff up in my life, nothing major or groundbreaking at least, only good ones where when I was a kid and as told by my mother to me. Once I'd apparently drawn X's all over the wall and tried to blame my brother, even though he couldn't write (And I'd just that day learnt to write X's) One other thing I used to do, we had these chocolates my parents would sometimes put on the Christmas tree, they were bells, but I figured they could be opened from the bottom, the chocolate removed and the bottom shut again. Admittedly, I did get away with it, even if most of them were botched jobs, until my parents went to the tree to get some and found a couple of the ones I'd already had lol. There's also the fake sleeping Kench mentioned. I was terrible at that and both me and my parents knew.

2025-01-28 23:55:38 +0000 UTCA Cake is the best, because a Doughnut is made out of Sugar,Flour,Milkpowder,Water and Grease. A good Cake has much better stuff like Eggs,Butter,Milk!☺️

2025-01-28 23:55:25 +0000 UTCI don't really think there was something I tried to cover up but then got found out, Idk if that's a good or bad thing lol. But I'll share that when I was young, I used to play the PS2 as much as I could and years later I guess I ended up playing it too much and it started to work less and less. However, there was something that strangely seemed to help, and that was taking my lava lamp and just using the bottom part with the bulb and then just placing my PS2 on top of it. Now I can't tell you why this worked but it did...That was until it ended up melting my PS2, and then it really was dead. Big sad that day lol.

2025-01-28 16:05:08 +0000 UTCWell, a funny one was from when i was in university overseas. I was trying to learn how to cook and I accidentally caused some smoke. I turned it off before it got too bad, but the fire alarm triggered all the same. Because it was in the school campus the alarm immediately called the firefighters to come and start evacuating all the other students. So by the time they got to my apartment to see what happened I was so embarrased and scared (fake alarm triggers can go up to 5K$) that i started speaking on spanish and pretend I did not understand anything they were saying. Lucky for me the gambit worked, they just got condescending and left wihout giving me fine. If you cant stop prejudice, use it xP

2025-01-28 14:06:03 +0000 UTCHey, at least you got to dye your hair though, right?! XD I begged and begged my mom for years to let me dye my hair. The only way she’d let me do it was if I went blonde (that’s a whole thing) lol. To put in shortly, I wanted something like pink or purple which was a big no. I was lucky enough to get it black in high school. How I managed to convince her I’m still not sure 😂 I can relate to the eldest role though as I’m both the oldest sibling and cousin. As such I was constantly being questioned with “what happened to so-and-so” lol. As for the dent…well, maybe I could have pulled it off had it not dinged my car too. That was a little more difficult to explain 😭

2025-01-28 12:00:22 +0000 UTCI’m sorry Bob, I shouldn’t have laughed while reading this but it reminded me of things I’ve done. Something bad happens, you panic which leads to more bad things happening 😭 I’m happy your parents were good sports about it though! lol 😆

2025-01-28 11:28:44 +0000 UTCOh man, that’s rough Azazel. Sorry you had to deal with that :( I’m glad your teacher was understanding though. I know instruments can be pretty expensive to keep up so that would have been messed up if you were responsible for it. I think it was good that you were open about it though and I hope your parents are doing better now ❤️

2025-01-28 11:26:56 +0000 UTCOk the talcum powder is just funny lol. It’s like that classic scene of “I didn’t eat it” while having said crumbs on your face 😂 Regardless of context, 100% I’m sure most of us have a memory of finding out how to delete our history haha! For me it was back in the days of trying to find fanart of my favorite anime couples. All were fine but I wanted to keep the fact that I liked BL a secret xD

2025-01-28 11:14:00 +0000 UTCDefinitely recommend mochi donuts I only have one place in town that has them but they are opening a second location right next to where I work luckily. I definitely needa take more pictures then last time I saw so many cute cats and nice scenery in the places I visited and didn’t take near enough photos last time.

2025-01-28 11:02:16 +0000 UTCI’ve never tried mochi donuts but want to. Everyone says they are really good so I’ll need to find some! I’m glad you didn’t hurt yourself too bad with the fan accident. It’s funny when we think back to the silly stuff we did when we were kids though! XD I hope you have a good time on your vacation Releo! Be sure to relax and take plenty of pictures :) There will definitely be audios for you to enjoy when you return ✨

2025-01-28 10:17:19 +0000 UTCDunno how much of a "cover-up" it is, but you know how when most of us were kids with bedtimes, we would all try to stay up late doing whatever and then pretend to sleep when we heard our parents coming? I was notoriously bad at that, I can't count how many times I got caught. Looking back on it now as an adult, I'm mildly surprised that after the gazillionth time, I was even allowed to keep anything at all—books, video games, toys, any of it—in my room in the first place 😂

2025-01-28 02:02:16 +0000 UTCHmm... This is difficult for me, I honestly don't eat many sweets... Lactose free icecream is possibly the most comparable to something I actually have now and then, if you count the low-calorie "ice creams" like Halotop and such, buuuuut I'm gunna go with doughnut. No I will not elaborate. xD Ahh, sheesh... That QotW is also a wild tangent of thought. I'm uhhh.. I'm sure the shed just got a bit of a dent, right? Eaaasy to let that one slide. Haha~ :P I was an energetic and troublesome kitten, and particularly being the eldest from a litter of 6 my siblings and I were always, always into something. Most of my memories are less trying to hide specific things and more trying to downplay or mis-explain the various injuries we always accrued, and our parents just being like "There's no way that X injury came from you doing Y. What the hell were you actually doing." Maybe the closest attempted cover up I can think of, I just up and decided to dye my hair at one point. A deep, navy blue/black colour, and effectively tried to keep it unnoticed by rocking hoodies & hats around the house. Wildly enough I was actually successful for quite some time (Our parents were not the most present sort. xD) But eventually I did get caught and was promptly tried for my sins. Lmao. Worth it though~ :3

2025-01-28 02:00:56 +0000 UTCLmao. Yeah, I remembered a few more after I sent that. Stuff like shooting lightbulbs with a bb gun and then putting it in my brother's room so he could get in trouble, then being shocked when I would be the one to get in trouble 😂 I definitely mellowed out and become a good kid once highschool hit though. Kinda.

2025-01-28 01:09:23 +0000 UTCI know this has happened to other people. I tried to make a slushie with my parents' blender. The blender broke because I put in too much ice. The real foolishness was when I put the blender on the stove to try to melt the ice. I learned plastic is not safe to heat up. So I managed to break the blender and the stove and then played it off like nothing happened. My parents just laughed at how stupid I was

2025-01-28 00:30:40 +0000 UTCYou know... I though I was shameful since at 12 years old I didn't know how to make a sandwich, so I forced my little brother to make them for me, but reading this now, I feel less guilty about what I did lol.

2025-01-28 00:27:50 +0000 UTCThe only real options I see are this with my glasses: 1. Milk (sometimes) 2. *Nail an epic flip but break the Krispy Kreme Sign* 3. Milk, but not as "playing with death" type of vibe. So... this one I have as a hateful memory that was upsetting to myself and yet I didn't take heavy blame for it. Get ready for an Essay. When I was doing Marching Band, I was always required to bring my Sousaphone back home for practice, and I always left it in the most optimum place to not be a disturbance in my room; my parents closet. One night while I had it in there, my parents got into a heated argument when my father accused my mother of wanting to stay later at her job because of another man she was talking to(For context, this was before my mother quit her job as a manager at a Mexican restaurant, and the man was just a regular there that my mother had just a small talk with). After my mother and father started having that argument, things started to get harmful. One of either of them had shoved themselves hard on my instrument so much that not only did it end up with both of them drawing blood, but it fucked up the Bell (Top Part of the Sousaphone) where it was already damaged(Note: Since during the time we had 5 Sousaphone players, I was stuck using the shitties one, so it was already damaged anyways, but the dents they did on it was VERY noticeable). Both my parents told me to just say that the instrument "fell" but even then, I would never bullshit or lie to my teacher. The day following when I brought back the instrument, I immediately went to the directior and told him about what happened. I almost thought I would've gotten fucked over, but he already knew I was under a struggle given that "thing" I told you about a year ago for my eye Alichu. He and I both sat in the office and he told me with a straight face these words: "Shit happens, and I know this was none of your doing, so I'll be eligible to fix this and I don't want you to feel worried about this troubling you." My heart was racing so much since I thought he would've kicked me out of band, but I loved the fact that he understood that none of it was my doing. To this day, even my parents think that I've told them that I lied to the director, but I'm just very glad I didn't get kicked out of there.

2025-01-28 00:19:58 +0000 UTCI'm sad cake isn't getting more votes... it's obviously the superior choice! Either way, can't wait to FINALLY have an Ash audio! Umm... uhh... one time as a kid, I looked up stuff on my dad's computer... you can guess when a young boy was looking up...I didn't know how to delete the history back then... it was found... I also covering up the fact that I got onto the roof of my childhood home though as a teeny kid, kinda hard to cover that up though when I would regular leave toys on the roof... lol And not me, but my older nephew who lived with us, when we were little kids he got into the talcum powder, and got it EVERYWHERE in the bathroom... of course my dad sees it and my nephew blames me, my dad just picked him up and placed him in front of a mirror and he was covered in it lol Recently though? Nothing really comes to mind.. lol

2025-01-28 00:14:16 +0000 UTCI like all 3 but rarely eat any of them now but if I had to choose I’d probably would go with cake although I did somewhat recently tried some mochi donuts and they were really good so if we’re talking those specifically maybe donuts. Well a long time my family had gotten new ceiling fans all through the house everyone was out except me and idk why I thought it was a bright idea to stick my arm into the blades it was a very sturdy brand new metal ceiling fan but the fan blade was bent as hell and the whole thing crashed onto the ground my arm only had a bruise and I cleaned it up and pretended I was asleep the whole time and didn’t know why our new ceiling fan was missing and funny how when they found the blade it was bent right to the shape of my arm where I happened to have a brand new bruise… . Also I’m going on vacation next week on a cruise I will have very limited internet access because of being in the middle of thee ocean so I won’t be able to listen or comment next week but I’ll be happy to have some audios to listen to when I get back. have a great week Ali!

2025-01-27 23:28:41 +0000 UTCSo this was my brother blunder not mine, when he was about 10 he wanted to make a sandwich but the only bread we had was in the freezer. So his bright idea was to put it in the microwave for 7 minutes! The entire house smelled like burnt toast and he tried to play it off like he had no idea what happened 😂

2025-01-27 23:21:09 +0000 UTCI don't have much of a sweet tooth but I love doughnuts and ice cream. Voting ice cream. Oh boy lol. A few come to mind right away. There was a table I used to sit on that I was always told not to, I sat on it and it top finally broke it. Tried acting like it wasn't me. Accidentally made a hole in the wall in the basement and tried blaming it on my sister since her room was down there. My hand was the only one that fit in the hole. Accidentally broke a garage window and tried to act like I didn't do it but it was my ball that went through the window. Yeah, I might have been kind of a naughty boy growing up :P
