Love that the start of this was half thanking us and the other half justifying your nosiness, but yes as someone who lives in an apartment complex I too have stood next to my window to eavesdrop on the drama, watching people’s cars get repo’d shouldn’t be as funny as it is. I know it’s awful to be entertained by real people’s misfortune but c’mon man you couldn’t afford that Charger you CANNOT be this surprised lmao Looked the punk rock mba guy up and his takes in the interview were absolutely wild. Like who can say they “don’t give a shit about music?” Music is one of those things that just makes us human, it’s such an important art form that’s everywhere in life so to say that he “doesn’t give a shit” about it is so insane to me. And hey I was the good example! 2024-12-30 16:41:24 +0000 UTCDude, that's absolutely fucking wild that Hawthorne Heights wasn't included. The Silence in Black and White is an iconic album. I remember buying the deluxe CD version of it at Best Buy as a teenager. I don't think it left my car's CD rotation for over a year. The only thing I can think of as a critique of Hawthorne Heights is that they're a little underwhelming live, but a lot of bands are like that. Obviously, it's a bit unrealistic to expect the same sound from a band live versus recorded. There are good things to be said about both experiences. Also, I appreciate the positivity! I know I'm just some person online, but it does mean a lot to me :)

I can be a little shy when first meeting someone, but I always keep at it until I find some common ground. Back in my fraternity days, I was the new member educator, so I had to figure out a lot of people. I still basically work doing that today, so I've had to develop a few strategies over the years. I guess that's why I'm always ready to chat, talking to people is just so ingrained into me lol Ah, misery loves company. I have rosacea but luckily i get medicine for it so you usually can't tell. It's rough when a breakout happens where your glasses sit. One of, if not my favorite current author (Brandon Sanderson) was there last year and I missed him by a few mins. I'm determined to get at least one autograph from someone next year! You will know of my success or failure in a comment replying to one of your "hope you had a good weekend" posts lol

Sometimes it takes a while but they will get better. All you can do is your best so be proud in that. Whatever it may entail I hope it goes smoothly and you’re able to recover quickly. My last surgery was my wisdom teeth and boy was that rough! If you’re by yourself please be safe. Don’t be like me and accidentally take too much medicine and end up getting sick everywhere! 😭 When it comes to people, I can usually tell pretty quickly if I’ll get along with them too. It’s almost like they have an aura or vibe I can pick up on. Sometimes I’ve been proven wrong though! I know some people take a bit longer to open up or show their true selves and that’s ok. I try to be patient with certain personalities before making a final call on if I want to converse with them anymore. But I do agree that it’s always good to trust your instincts! As for the glasses bump, I have a bad history with oily skin and acne. I took a very strong medication when I was a teen that cleared it up so I rarely get anything too bad anymore but boy when I do it’s always in the most inconvenient spot 💀 Omg, Sam was going to be there??!! Sam is literally my version of an angel on earth. And getting him to sign a potato would have been so perfect!! 😆 I hope you have fun at the convention and eat some good food too! Be sure to take pics for memories as that’s what the convention is all about :D I also like your gaming idea where I play something and possibly record over it, or maybe even play in the moment but talk in a more ASMR tone. I did that a while back in an old video and had fun with it! Maybe I’ll try it again sometime ^_^

I very much enjoy talking and replying to you all, especially in the mornings as I drink coffee :D As for the help of being short, I’m always thankful for it haha! Why build an entire audience that’s passionate about music like that to do it? Very bizarre. I think the only thing he really succeeded in was making people not like him 😭

Jk, of course, but that's some intense dedication. I had a friend who was super into it and she kept trying to get me to watch along and I just couldn't do it, haha. I think I'd be more drawn to the drama if it was happening just outside my apartment though, so I understand. I can't imagine what goes on behind closed doors if that's the stuff that happens out in the open. I hadn't heard of the music channel that you mentioned, but I was still outraged, nonetheless. Churning out a bunch of soulless content just for clicks and money is disappointing, but being a total poser the entire time you're doing it? That's SO insulting to the audience as well as the bands. That's kind of one of my least favorite parts of the internet. Sometimes I wonder if it was a mistake to make everyone's opinions so hard to ignore. That frustration that you mentioned when progress is moving too slowly is something I really struggle with too. I hate knowing that it's caused me to avoid finishing (or even starting) so many things I wanted to do. As for your achievements this year, I really am impressed. Not to sound cheesy, but it's downright inspiring seeing you overcoming so many challenges while still managing to be true to yourself. It makes me hopeful that things can actually get better...because sometimes that seems like such a foreign concept. Thanks for the cute present, by the way :) I hope your day of gaming was enjoyable!

Moving across the country is no easy feat but you got through it AND found a job there which is amazing! I ended up moving from Cali to another state across the country as well, but I was like 11 then lol so I don’t entirely know the stress that could be with it, but I will say I’m proud of you for pushing through even tho it may have been hard, and that motivation and hard work is honestly very impressive XD I’m so happy to be a part of your community Ali you’ve made such an amazing space, and I cannot begin to tell you how much your audios and posts alone have helped me with stress and stuff (like this stressful and draining month, you really did make it a whole lot easier to overcome). I’ve been one to be shy and have anxiety about joining and talking in community hell even commenting on twitter stuff 🤣 but I’ve been trying to overcome that and I’m glad I’ve made progress cause I wouldn’t have been able to meet you or all these amazing ali cats here! I may not have been here too long (maybe 4-5 months) but honestly im just as thankful for you as you are for us and I’m sure all of us feel that way! :) Onto the stories tho the Walmart one def is funny and cute lol sorry. I’m more average height so I can get it when you get to them really tall ass shelves and I gotta do the tipytoe thing and being able to barely pull it down with my fingertips is embarrassing enough let alone when I gotta do a little jump for it LOL. I like drama too much too like I feed off some good work drama I be over hearing lol. But for apartments the most I’ve ever overheard was a couple arguing about who knows what and I guess the guy said something insulting? But he shouted SO LOUD “TAKE IT AS A COMPLEMENT THEN” like 3 or 4 times and then I heard like the balcony door slam, and I just wish I knew what she had to take as a complement🤣 For the music channel tho that’s sad to hear about, Music is such a big part of my life, and I can't really imagine not listening to it every day lol. to make a channel about that art form and have no passion or love for it seems really really weird, let alone acting like a know it all about the subject you don't care about. All for some money just seems really low. I feel like they could have achieved a similar "success" with doing a topic they were interested in and passionate about. You can always tell if someone truly loves something or is really passionate about something with the way they speak about the topic. They'll give you unique and interesting takes from their point of view on the topic or just explain how to things work and or how they achieved a certain thing with it. You would be able to feel that passion and really draw you in and want to hear more about it. It's always a joy hearing someone speak on a topic they truly care about :). I’m trying not to make this too long so I’ll try to be quick with the rest of my reply’s LOL but oh my GOSH I fucking relate to the glasses so bad, one reason summer annoys me is I’m in my damn car with the AC on and I get out of the car and as SOON as I do the Hot air hits and my glasses fog and I can’t see shit, let alone if I try to cook food and I open the oven X.X For me I’m def not doing Lasic the whole idea of the eye prying and stuff just eughhh I can’t I can’t I can’t lol. Contacts are hard enough for me to try to wear let alone letting them do THAT to them! I’m good with my glasses LOL It’s been a minute since I’ve been to a convention but last time I went the art ally was HUGE and I bought a bit of stuff, I only wish I brought a backpack cause I was sadly only able to get a few since I could only carry so much lol but I’m positive you’ll be able to get a booth and share your art with people! Due to the nature of my work, I love the sort of dichotomy I am able to bring by repping tons of patches and stickers that kind of subvert people's expectations. I *love* plastering vehicles and equipment with nerdy/otaku/fandom related things. So when you get a booth up and going you'll always have a customer in this kitten. :3 Merry Christmas!

On the topic of jobs, I'll admit I'm in the pit of endless applications too, since I'm close to graduating and my current job was only meant to be interim whilst I got my degree. I don't know how many applications I've put in myself, but it's definitely a nightmare, so thanks for sharing your experience. No moving out for me yet though, I'm definitely not earning enough for that. As for being too short to reach the shelves, hate to say it, but I am the guy everyone comes to to grab stuff for everything. I'm also a lover of gossip, but only earwigging, I don't spread much gossip myself, I'm really bad when it comes to that, but you really can't help when they're loud enough to hear over everything else, right? Right??? As for this youtube fella, never heard of it, but now I must know more! Suppose a deep dive is now on my to do list lol, thanks for the recommendation! Oh and glasses, don't get me started on those. On top of what you already mentioned (I know the exact feeling of putting your glases on some pain on your nose) you'd think they'd provide a little protection from debris and the sort, but I've had everything from wood, to chilli go past my glasses and into my eyes. 2024-12-25 01:30:20 +0000 UTCHaving listened to the audio: Only moved a few times, and it can be stressful, even when things are being planned out, and soon I will be going through it again at the start of the year. Job hunting is always a pain, and it just destroys you mentally the longer it goes for. Being able to get one in six months from moving to a completely new place with no job ready there is certainly something to be proud of. The story you had about the music critic reminds me of personalities from anime and videogame critics that I heard about that resulted in similar reactions of being quite pompous with their opinions, and so difficult to listen to in the long run. Just about every female content creator I know brings up shows like 90-day fiance, and I find it amusing how regardless of what kind of girl they are they can wind up liking such stuff. XD What you said about the artist who drew the Vtuber fanart was quite touching. If you spend enough time in something and continue to give good vibes and such out in the world it will eventually come back to you. As someone who has drawn Vtuber fanart, it feels nice when the Vtuber shows appreciation for it, even if just a like. For your future plans in content creation, streaming does sound like a neat idea and wanting to do much of the set up stuff on your own end is commendable. Also, understandable about what you want to make and not make regarding your audios; while I know nsfw asmr audios exist, I find myself preferring more wholesome ones.

Thinking about that, your work ethic is honestly pretty inspiring lol When you said you were thankful for us, I got a nice little chuckle because for a lot of us, I'm sure the feeling is mutual. So now, it's my turn for the sappy bullshit to say how thankful I am :P I found your channel around May, didn't decide to join the Patreon until July. In these short 6 months, your channel has been a huge destressor. This month I have been to the doctor twice, fortunately everything seems minor but I'm in some pain and should be having a small surgery next month(my friends and family don't know 🤫). Needless to say, the anxiety levels are pretty high lol but your videos have been very calming and provided some needed escapism. So thank you! The Walmart story is kinda cute lol I'm average height, but sometimes the things all the way at the very top feel like they weren't designed for people to reach! I've jumped to get things before, hopefully no one has seen me. Oh man. I love overhearing drama and gossip :P If I start overhearing something, I start to put my ear to the walls or door to try and listen. Doesn't matter if i'm at home or at work, I will eavesdrop! But I may or may not have been caught before lol The music channel thing is very disheartening. I'm sure the fans of his channel must be pissed. Can't even imagine what someone who has backed him from day 1 would feel. What's cool though is that you kinda knew something was off. Always trust your instincts, Ali. I always trust mine. It may sound dumb, but I usually know if I will be able to get along with someone within a few minutes. It has honestly always worked out. The only time I didn't trust my instincts with someone, I got burned pretty bad. I wear glasses too, I'm very near sighted. So I get it, foggy glasses are so annoying. And it's an absolute bitch in the winter, anytime you go in or out of somewhere they immediately fog up, and forget about covering your face with a scarf, they will get foggy! But as annoying as it is, i'm too much of a chicken shit to get Lasik lol and when I first started wearing glasses as a kid, they told me my eyes were too dry for contacts, so it will always be glasses for me. I have a few pairs I like to alternate between depending on what I'm wearing, I even keep prescription sunglasses in my car, might as well make the most of it right? As for your nose bump problem, I was getting new glasses last month and the charming and very bored lady that helped me for a while mentioned that nose pain or marks often indicate an improper fit. So maybe it's that? Hey I just bought tickets to my city's comic con like convention! It's three days, but I'm only going on Saturday. I wanted to go on Friday because Sean Astin(Samwise Gamgee) was going to be there and I would have loved to get him to autograph a potato lol But unfortunately the friends I'm going with voted for Saturday instead of Friday :( It's a pretty big convention, I love it. The artist alley is insane. I always go with a backpack to buy stuff. After the event my friends and I usually walk to Chinatown and get piss drunk have my favorite food for a social setting, Korean BBQ lol I know you'll make it conventions and have your own booth one day. Afterall, I've been leaving a like and comment on all your recent videos so it's only a matter of time before you blow up 😊 If/when you do (and if it's in the area lol), I would definitely stop by to awkwardly say hi and absolutely checkout the prints you have for sale. I've never been too into streaming and definitely not too much into vtubers, but over the last year I found a couple that I like. It would be cool if you streamed, but I think a workaround for now might be to record something you're playing and then do some ASMR narration of it? Idk, I'm just spitballing ideas. I don't really beat around the bush when friends ask me about building PCs and pricing. Others are probably going to disagree with me, but I think a good streaming PC that can be easily upgraded in the future (PCIe 5.0 and a CPU socket that will be supported for years to come) will run you around $1200. It can be done for cheaper, but upgrading it will become harder as it ages. Well Ali, thank you once again. Good luck cooking your steak, I hope it comes out exactly to your liking. I wasn’t here for the whole situation but atleast everything worked out in the end i definitely can see how all of this would be stressful but you made it through cause your strong my current situation isn’t ideal but I’m surviving and I’m happy to be here I’m making more progress recently and I’d like to increase my support eventually. As for your Walmart story I’m a relatively tall person but most of my family is pretty short like my sister so I grab stuff for them all the time but I’ve never asked how they feel about it and I’ve helped other short people get stuff from high up some times I’ve been asked for help and other times I’ve offered but seeing as you were in that situation how would you want some one offer to help because I genuinely I just like to help if I see someone who needs it but I also don’t wanna come off as a jackass making fun of some one shorter then me some of my favorite people in the world are short. Neighbor drama I have yet to experience to this extent I try not to bud to much into other peoples lives but sometimes you just gotta know it can’t be helped. I love music idk how some one could genuinely not like any music that is definitely strange I definitely get what you mean about the weird vibe and a another indicator ive noticed is if they don’t like animals is another thing that just gives me a weird feeling about people like how could you see a kitten or a puppy and just not feel the urge to pet or hold it. I’m not what I would call passionate about what I do currently and while I am pretty antisocial I am in a position that get to help people and I enjoy doing that but I’d definitely like to get a job doing something i genuinely enjoy I’ve thought about maybe working for a bakery any time I find myself baking or cooking I always enjoy it I think it’s a profession I could enjoy. My entire family has glasses I refuse to where mine personally but my eyesight means I can get away with it but my mom and sisters are constantly cleaning there glasses and for the short time I wore my glasses when I first got them I couldn’t deal with it so I just decided my eyesight is fine enough not dealing with them and don’t put yourself down I’m sure your plenty cute with or without glasses your also one of the coolest and most talented people I’ve ever had thee pleasure to meet on the internet and it makes me a little sad when awesome people sell themselves short and you are a truly awesome person don’t ever forget that: It would be so cool if you got a booth set up at a convention I just wanna go to an anime convention at some point but if you happened to have a booth set up I’d totally have to come by and buy some prints I’ve fully embraced being a weeb at this point wearing my anime shirts out in public speaking of anime in public I saw a car with a sick gojo and sukuna wrap gojo firing a hallow purple and sukuna on his shrine and ended up complimenting the driver. If you start streaming you can count on me to show up if you end up vtubing you would be thee only one I watch not because I have a problem with them I just don’t have any clue who I’d watch but I do like to tune in to the funny clips on yt. For a start, doing content about an 'artistic" topic online, if not by passion, seems already weird to me. There's far more things to do only for money than giving whatever opinion you have on something lmao. And to say that music has "no future" or something like that is absolutely horrible to me, especially when I can't think of going through a day without it. Every artistic line has a purpose, for the creators and consumer that enjoys it, to even think about saying a thing like is... ugh (and the fact he used the example of SOAD, one of my personal fav band, was pretty funny :sob:). Anyway, I hope u'll have nice holidays too, until next time ~!

Also... the glasses...i HATE that! getting a little bump on your nose right where the nose pads touch...oww... I'll just wear my contacts at that point... lol And I know how you feel about the LASIK, not only is it like 4k per eye, but the fact that you have to be awake for the whole procedure... AND I have been told that you can SMELL it... yea.. Ima stick with glasses and contacts.. And i feel partially called out about the streaming stuff :P btw, you don't need a particularly powerful computer to do that, mine is an upper mid range and is overkill for a vtuber setup. Could get away with a lower tier CPU, and a standard 4070, I know a couple variety streamer vtubers with far less powerful computers that have zero issues. And finally... the conventions... i know we talked about that before, it would be awesome! And since there's a few decently sized anime conventions with artist alleys in our state, I don't you'd have any issues getting in! Also, I would totally buy up a lot of stuff from your table... >.> <.< Also, that art is oh so adorable!!! And again, NERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEARS!!
