In spirit of the shark drink I mentioned, question of the week is this: What is your favorite alcoholic drink? If you don’t drink you can just tell me your favorite drink in general :)

Genuine luxardo maraschino (or at least a quality cocktail cherry in dark syrup) tastes much better than a standard unaturally bright red maraschino that you normally come across, but perfectly fine to skip the cherry if you don’t like it, it’s not like it completely changes the character of the drink. After all, no sense in wasting good whiskey on a flavor you know you don’t like haha

I just recently started liking the taste of real cherries but that maraschino is a no go for me. Maybe it’s good in a drink though! I’d try it once to see :P

Lemme break it down for ya ~Straight Liqour~ Hard cross between Knob Creek Rye Whiskey or Hendrick's Scottish Gin depending on my mood (but I like the Rye just a lil bit more) ~Beer~ Hoegaarden Wheat Beer (but I also love Kona Big Wave for entirely different reasons lol) ~Wine~ Syrah, easy. (French-made is preferred) ~Cocktails~ Oh my god this one's hard. I'll keep it to the main spirits Whiskey - A REAL Whiskey Sour (with a garnish of Peychaud's Bitters) is great but I also love an Old-Fashioned with an Absinthe rinsed glass, smoked, and a genuine Luxardo Marashcino cherry (lil barspoon of the cherry sauce stirred in is perfection) Gin - Gin and Tonic with half a muddled lime is PERFECT. No notes! Tequila - Come on, was I gonna pick anything OTHER than a classic Margarita? (a REAL one, none of that mixer crap) Rum - The El Presidente is phenomenal, a beautifully balanced rum forward drink, but if we're talkin tiki style? The Hurricane alllll the way man Vodka - Honestly not much too exciting about a neutral-grain spirit but I have to admit I do love a good Moscow Mule Aaaaand that covers most of my bases lol, you really got me with that question!

The time I lived with a girlfriend none of that was an issue- we both just did what we needed to, when we needed to. You are also right in the recording thing. Sometimes it does feel like a small miracle when I can! I’ve started to get down everyone’s schedules pretty well, but when I have that one or two days free God help me if there’s a bunch of traffic or outside noise haha! It can get messy for sure trying to make time. I’m managing though without pulling too much hair out haha! XD I do find it a bit sad that I have a degree and it’s still been so difficult. I know I’m not the only one with that problem though. I can only keep trying and hope that I get something sooner rather than later! 🙏 ❤️

And yes, I can totally relate about the freedom thing too. Like you mentioned, sometimes it isn't necessarily a conscious issue, you just can't do certain things like coming back too late or watching shows too loudly because you might wake people up on a work night, even if you personally have the next day of. Because of that I assume it must be a small miracle to find the right time to record these videos... Sometimes however there are also some really petty small things that get under my skin. Like asking how many loads of laundry you are putting in the washing machine because they suddenly need to do some (they hadn't done any for days before this), or asking how long you're going to be in the bathroom (even though there is a second one in the house). Such things got even weirder when I was the only one employed for a while - then I was both tired and driven half mad by nonsensical requests 😂 Weirdly I never had this issue with non-family housemates - people just accepted that other people had their own shit to do and deal with, and things were a lot less stressful 😅

I'm in an upscale neighborhood, like, right across the street from my apartment complex is a country club with multi million dollar homes, and like I said, the rent in my area is around 1350-1450 for a 1 bedroom increases to about 1800-2k for a 2 bedroom. Bad areas are closer to 1000-1200 for one bedrooms, about 1500 for 2 bedrooms for those not in the income restricted places, but when I say bad, I mean apartment complexes are surrounded by barbed wired fencing lol

2024-08-09 04:40:31 +0000 UTCI’m very happy to hear that! Ever since moving I’ve been worried that my audio quality went down so I’ve been trying very hard to edit out any big interruptions. So really, thanks for the reassurance on that :) As for jobs, I have a degree in business so I’d love something administrative. My work history is mainly retail though so I’m fine with that too. Honestly I’d be OK with almost anything at this point! Privacy is definitely a big issue with me too along with lack of freedom. I feel like I can’t go anywhere or do anything without being questioned. It may sound silly but it bugs the hell out of me! I also feel that I have time restrictions on things. When I was alone I could just do whatever at any time. But when you share a house it makes that a lot more difficult since I don’t want to disturb anyone by making too much noise, etc. Edit; sorry if this got a weird layout, Patreon bugged out on me xD

As a kid I couldn’t stand them but recently discovered that I like them a lot now :D I appreciate the wishes Knight! 2024-08-09 04:21:04 +0000 UTCThe cheapest rent that I was seeing in CA before leaving was around 1600. That was also in a bad neighborhood and it ranged between 1-2 bedrooms. It was very typical for a lot of my coworkers and friends to be paying around 2500-3000 which is absolutely impossible for me to do haha! XD

Personally I really don't mind any background noises (cars or human), so long as it isn't louder than you and the audio quality is on point (which it always is 👍) Keep going with the job search, I know you'll get there! What sort of jobs are you applying for btw? Retail? Art related? Admin? Tech? And out of interest, of the things you mentioned, what is the worst thing for you about living with your parents as an adult? For me it's hands down the lack of privacy/risk of judgement. I can put up with a *lot*, but damn the unconscious pressure to not be fully yourself is hard after a while...

2024-08-07 18:16:40 +0000 UTCI don't drink much because I don't care much for the taste of alcohol, but my favorite is New Glarus's Belgian Red, an ale made with Door County cherries. New Glarus only sells its drinks in Wisconsin and is typically best known for Spotted Cow ale, but fruity drinks tend to be my favorite. I am also very much looking forward to fall and wish you well on the job hunt. I was unemployed for half of last year and while the break from work was nice, the financial stress was real.

Around here it's going around 1350-1450 for a 1 bedroom apartment in a decent area, mine is $1300+$80 for my garage and $20 for my pet fee. And yea! That's what's keeping me here is just the close proximity to everything lol and it is! It's Lairds Old Apple Brandy. I have not been able to find it in store in the Carolinas though. Gotcha! Haven't seen anyone using it just yet myself, but hope it all works out!

2024-08-07 15:32:26 +0000 UTCI’m not sure if the shark drink is still there now but it was about 2 weeks ago! :) Even though it was weak it had good flavor- and you get a shark toy so it’s all good 🦈 ✨ I’d love to live how my old place was in CA. About 5-10 minutes outside of town! Let’s just hope the rent doesn’t get to what it was going out there though. I know it’s bad everywhere but damn, it was getting way out of hand and I just couldn’t do it anymore. Super cool about being so close to a mall and brewery though- that’s awesome! Also, that apple brandy sounds delicious 🍎 As for the art, I’m not entirely sure how Patreon does it. I’m going to guess it’s for both patrons and non-patrons but I’ll need to look into it more. It seems to still be a pretty new feature so I’m not sure exactly how it’s used just yet. I’m going to wait a bit to see how it plays out before making a decision! :) If I did sell any art though I would want it to be just like small digital prints of my roleplay characters, so nothing too crazy. Just something cute for people to buy if they want!

Maybe I could even edit/alter it and make it sound like something weird for a background- we’ll see! :P As for the drink, I did say virgin! It’s when a usual alcoholic drink has no alcohol :) I really do wonder if they forgot it. I swear I tasted none at all. That or the fruit drink overpowered the hell out of it haha! With the art, I was thinking about making little drawings of my roleplay characters. It wouldn’t be an individual piece for someone or bidding but more of an additional drawing people could download if they liked/wanted it, kinda like a digital art print. I’m still unsure if I’ll do it though. It still seems like a pretty new feature on Patreon so I’ll wait to see how it plays out for a bit first! :) P.S. Thanks for the bless you haha! I noticed I left that in after it was uploaded and just said screw it. Wasn’t about to reupload once it was done xD

Fingers crossed I get something soon 🤞 Living out in the middle of nowhere has its charm but if I had to pick I definitely like the city more! The ideal for me would be living on the outskirts of a city. That way it’s not in the middle of it but still quiet enough and close by #goals :D I completely get pairing a good beer with an occasion or food! I’ve been trying to limit my alcohol consumption also so when I do have some I enjoy it! My old faithful will always be whiskey and ice :P

I was thinking about doing little drawings of some my roleplay characters but we’ll see how it goes. I think it’s still a pretty new option on Patreon so I’ll wait to see how it plays out first. I don’t think I’ve ever mixed anything with a Mountain Dew but I’d be willing to try! My mom loves that soda so I know there’s plenty of it here lol. I looked up electric lemonade and I think I may have had that before. Either way, it sounds good! :)

Also, definitely understand wanting to move out on your own! Love my dad and all, but I don't think I could ever live with him again, I feel like I'd be walking on eggshells, I think the only person I could ever live with is a partner now lol and also understand about city life lol as you know, I'm in the biggest city in our state, have a mall 3 miles away, so so many restaurants within a couple miles, everything I need pretty much, if I go a little further, there's even more things to do! Also, that's a friggin bummer about your manga and what not! Also, that shark drink is at outback?? I wanna try it lol I don't think they gave you the virgin one though, last time I had alcohol at outback, it tasted very weak.. oh speaking of which, adding to the city part, they just opened up a second location of one of the more well known breweries in our state like 2 miles away lol Hmm, as for selling the art, just like what AngrySandwich said, I see a lot of people selling higher res versions of art. As for the selling, it's that something that patreons would have to buy alongside the membership, or would it just be the non-members that have to buy? Sad to say.. in none of the pokemon games I've played, I don't think I've ever gotten a shiny... lol I do need to get pokemon scarlet though. As for your questions, things are tight financially, but that's only for the next couple non-rent paychecks thankfully, and that's cause of the computer lol, also working on a goal to be completely debtfree within about a year! And for your QOTW, one of my favorite drinks is I take apple brandy (made from apples, not apple flavored) mix it with a bit of the unfiltered apple cider you can get, and a splash of maple syrup in liue of simple syrup and have it over ice, it tastes so good!

I remember while still doing college and my little brother in high school, there was like a winter storm that happened and we were stuck for like 2 days with no school. Later that changes to feeling like the whole week, despite it not being legit like that, but it didn't even matter since my parents just said fuck it and we went on vacation that week. Gotta be the most reliable thing for winter to ever exist. Stomach rumbling just means more asmr ideas. Maybe a hungry chubby girl or something. And yeah I can agree with that, everyone wants their privacy all the time. Awwwww, that's such an adorable sneeze(bless you btw). You definitely gotta have a sick girl audio, that'd be cool. Ok, not gonna shit on Outback, mainly because I haven't eaten there, but I've heard that it isn't good as it used to be. From the way I've heard my cousins friend who works there, their system is just shoving the food in machines and letting them get cooked, not them cooking it themselves and such. I will say that ik about that shark drink from there(saw it on Twitter) and I will say that it does look cool. (Also why does it sound you like say virgin every time. Ik wat your really trying to say but it just feels a bit off.) I get the understanding of what you mean by separation. I feel like that's more of a Discord thing than anything. For the art selling idea, ngl I would definitely wanna take part in it, but wouldn't that be a bit hard on yourself if you start getting messages of people saying that they'd want some specific designs or even redesigns of the character they would want? Let alone how would you even get paid the money so your art can be sold? Or even bidding for that matter? For the QOTW, the only beer so far that I've been drinking is Seagrams, specifically Jamaican Me Happy. It's a good taste of fruit along with the taste of alcohol. Maybe later as time goes I'll talk to my brothers roommate since he works at a liquor store and see what good alcohol can make me feel like my intestines are on fire at night and where I can wake up feeling as sleepy as Ash is when she's trying to find a way to sleep in the Comic.

I stopped because apparently I might be getting a better contract, if that falls through I might walk out. I've always kinda romanticized living in bumbfuck nowhere. I've lived in the suburbs and the city, the idea of getting away from it all sounds so nice... But I know I would miss it lol Maybe when I'm old as shit. I love going to bookstores. I read pretty often and I love anime, I think anime is a fantastic story telling medium but ironically i've never really gotten into manga. I'm watching a few shows that are currently airing but I don't think I recommend any of them yet lol Favorite alcoholic drink? Bourbon with some ice. I like beer a lot too, this is cheating but the kind of beer kinda depends on what I'm doing, what kind of food I'm pairing it with, where I'm at, and the weather. Lol there's a beer out there for every occasion! But alas, I don't really drink that much anymore, only really when meeting up with friends.
