Roleplay Poll 21 & QOTW
Added 2023-10-10 03:57:54 +0000 UTCHello everyone, I hope you all had a nice Monday :) It's been a while since I've asked a question of the week so I thought that would be fun! The question: What's your favorite musical? I know not everyone likes them so if you don't you can tell me a song/band you've been listening to lately instead :D
My favorite would have to be the original Sweeny Todd- I like the one with Johnny Depp too though! Back in school my theater group put on a little performance based on it, so I probably have a bias for it because of that xD Surprise, surprise- I played Toby.
This poll is going to be for next Friday and as a heads up they're all going to be related to a story I've done before for fun, so keep that in mind when choosing :P

Oh, very nice- I like this! :D

2023-10-13 08:00:56 +0000 UTCI wouldn't really call it a better Genshin, they play very differently and I play them both daily. They are both really fun! Also there is a lot more original music for Arknights, like 100s of more lol. It's one of my favorite parts about the game. They go all out on their trailers and music. And now also their anime I guess but I haven't watched the second season yet as it came out relatively recently.

2023-10-11 20:50:19 +0000 UTCI've never seen La La Land but it sounds good! I really like that actress from the couple of movies I've seen her in, so I'll have to check it out :) I still think it's awesome you can play guitar. I think I mentioned it before, but I never learned to play an instrument. Because of that I think it's really cool to know people who can! I gave that Led Zeppelin song a listen and I liked it! I'm sure this may be a lot of people's favorite, but I really like Stairway to Heaven. The whole thing about it being played backwards back in the day I found a little silly- it's just a good song :P I'm glad you like the bands I mentioned too! The best thing about BMTH and Static X is that both their old and new stuff is good. Ville still does music too, he goes by VV if you're curious about his new stuff!

2023-10-11 20:42:50 +0000 UTCI've seen the musicals you mentioned, and I remember really enjoying them :) As for Arknights, I've never played it myself, but I've heard it be described as a better Genshin haha! The Alive song was really good, top tier music. I think I may have a slight bias for the first one because of screaming :P Both songs were awesome though, thanks for sharing them!

2023-10-11 20:16:00 +0000 UTCI knew it was going to happen at some point, I've referenced the coffee shop one too many times haha! xD As for musicals, I see anything that has a bunch of singing to be a musical. I'm sure some people would disagree but hey, lots of singing = musical to me! :D

2023-10-11 19:54:28 +0000 UTCI love the original Mulan! Some may disagree but I see almost all the old Disney movies as musicals lol.

2023-10-11 19:51:13 +0000 UTCYou're right. It's a parody of Aladdin from Jaffar's pov while also paying homage to Wicked. I found the whole musical on YouTube once. The song by the same name is neat.

2023-10-11 19:45:54 +0000 UTCI've never seen Twisted but it seems to be a retelling/parody which sounds fun! I gave that song a listen too and loved it, a very cute mix :P

2023-10-11 19:42:22 +0000 UTCJust listened to it and the singing for that song was amazing! I've heard of Wicked but never watched it myself, I'll need to check it out sometime :)

2023-10-11 19:32:13 +0000 UTCI had to look up Heathers since it sounded familiar to me. I don't think I've seen it, but I want to now! I agree with you on The Book of Mormon too. As a South Park fan I can only imagine how entertaining that is :P

2023-10-11 19:07:15 +0000 UTCFiddler on the Roof sounds really familiar, I may have read or seen it in some way back in school. I'm sorry to hear about your injury, I know that can be tough. While maybe not the same, I hope that you are or can find something you enjoy *sending you lots of heart emojis because Patreon isn't letting me for some reason Dx *

2023-10-11 18:58:39 +0000 UTCI've never seen Hamilton either- I'll need to check that one out. I listened to that song also and I liked it! I really enjoy music with that type of vibe, very cool :) Ngl, if pumpkin spice ever vanished one day, I'd probably haunt some coffee shops too haha! I've been enjoying my peppermint mochas lately though, gotta switch it up a bit sometimes xD

2023-10-11 17:36:10 +0000 UTCAccording to Wikipedia Interstella 5555 is a musical so that's my pick. It's actually more of an anime music video album than an actual musical though. Daft punk rules!

2023-10-10 17:45:56 +0000 UTCDamn I haven’t seen a musical in a very long time, last one I think was La La Land maybe? Heard of Sweeny Todd but never watched it. I honestly don’t think I’ve seen enough musicals to truly say I have a favorite though. As for bands, I recently bought a Led Zeppelin album, they were a band I listened to a lot of growing up so I wanted them in my playlist. I actually would play this little riff on my guitar that sounded super familiar to me but I couldn’t place it. Turns out it was from the chorus of “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You”! Not the exact rhythm I played, but the progression of notes was the same. When that part came on a wave of catharsis washed over my brain, that was like a years long mystery solved for me lol. I didn’t know that Led Zeppelin was one of the three bands considered to be the progenitors of metal. Now I wanna get an album from the other two bands of the “unholy trinity”, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple. Other than that, checked out some of the stuff from HIM you mentioned a little while back, “The Sacrament” and “Killing Loneliness”. Definitely more on the goth side like you said and “pretty” was a perfect description for Vile’s voice. HIM will definitely make it to my playlist eventually, after I get those Black Sabbath and Deep Purple albums. Also gave BMTH and Static X a listen. Never listened to Static X before but I liked their stuff, hard not to start head banging listening to it haha, and turns out I‘ve actually heard more BMTH songs than I thought, just didn’t know they were from them at the time lol

2023-10-10 16:40:47 +0000 UTCLike a lot people here seemingly, I have not seen many musicals either lol. I think the only 2 I have seen are Grease and Phantom of the Opera. Although I have had Rent described to me before and it seems neat. I have been listen to a lot of music from Arknights since I have been grinding an event in it for days as I mentioned prior. Surprisingly since the game is essentially just a tower defense gatcha, they spend a lot of money having songs make for the game. Here are two I have been listening to a lot recently. Song 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wryyPIXDV4I Song 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnS5JqFojUw The one named [ALIVE] is probably my favorite song still from Arknights despite it coming out years ago at this point. I don't have many strong opinions on the location but I am looking forward to a good haunting!

2023-10-10 11:28:40 +0000 UTCIf memory serves, Shy Yandere Fan audio was when you were asking for ideas on what to name the cafe your characters go to. Maybe this is our chance to bring it to fruition... That's cool about your involvement in a Sweeny Todd play at school. I don't think I've ever partaken in or seen any musicals. I'm not even sure what counts as one and what doesn't. lol

2023-10-10 11:09:12 +0000 UTCI don't know if this counts or not but I'll say it anyway, the original Mulan, good movie, good songs. Not really a musical person, I didn't even find music I actually liked until I was in 7th grade.

2023-10-10 10:31:37 +0000 UTCI haven't watched too many musicals, myself, although "Twisted" was pretty good. As for a recent song? There's this mix with September and a song from Macross Delta dubbed "When the Rune Sparkles in September" (the inverted version is neat too).

2023-10-10 10:31:22 +0000 UTCWow that’s a tricky one! Though I’ve never actually seen it the song “Defying Gravity” from the musical “Wicked” has always been a favorite of mine! The rise and drops in the song along with the powerful conclusion to it from the vocal talents of Idina Menzel make it perfect!

2023-10-10 08:50:36 +0000 UTCI haven't watched many musicals but I really enjoyed Heather's, the music is incredible throughout the song and it's got a dark plot for its highschool drama surface appearance. I would love to see The Book of Mormon when they next tour, I missed them last time and I've heard nothing but good things about it. Casting a vote for haunted antique shop, I've walked around a few of those places and Im fairly certain half the stuff they sell is haunted already.

2023-10-10 04:29:42 +0000 UTCHmmm... the only musical my school did was Fiddler on the Roof, I was the fiddler (which required me to play the violin which I knew). Ah good times, but gold never keeps its luster for an injury was inflicted upon my ability to play.... I loved that Musical tho...

2023-10-10 04:29:16 +0000 UTCHmmm I don't think I've ever seen a musical I want to watch Hamilton but I haven't gotten around to it. Currently I've been rocky out to late night drive home practically the song called how to be normal. These are some really unique ideas haunted Cafe I can already here the lost souls who didn't get a pumpkin spice latte XD LOL or any other seasonal drink lol
