Name your favorite character traits! [Open Poll]

I don't want to give it away, but to help me out I want you all to give me traits that you enjoy in a character. They can be physical, personality, design; whatever you like. Name as many as you like- the more the merrier.
As of now it seems that this Friday's roleplay will be a tinkerer which I'm really excited about :P I already have some cool sound ideas in mind.

Don't feel weird! I don't want anyone to feel that way about what they like on here. In fact, I very much get where you're coming from. I love androgynous characters too! It's funny you bring up Monogatari because I always viewed Ougi as a bit androgynous and she's my best girl <3 Land of the Lustrous is a good example too and I really love all the characters in that series. I definitely get the appeal :)

Basically, Kanbaru from the Monogatari series. That type of sporty/athletic, funny, boyish girl. Or I should have maybe just led with Land of the Lustrous. Givin that the main character is my pfp lol. People I've told before about this tend to think I'm weird, but I like the androgynous look. Which I feel matches the tomboy aesthetic. I feel I could continue on, but for the sake of everyone I will gracefully bow out, while I am still viewed in a (favored?) light. XD

She is probably my favorite character across all media currently, and has been for a bit lol, but I play so many games so it's only a matter of time before she is dethroned. Rean Schwarzer from Legend of Heroes came very close, but he has a bit too much of JRPG MC traits in him that make him feel slightly more generic of a character. Also good pun, it made me equal parts groan and laugh at the same time which is a good sign! I look forward to what all of these suggestions are going to become as you seem very excited in your replies to everyone!

I've been making notes on everyone's replies so far- for research purposes of course! After the tinkerer this Friday I have something really fun planned for the next one. I don't want to give away too much, but I do appreciate you all giving me "parts" to this future character :P

As an elder emo her style is right up my "ali" hehe :P I will definitely use this as inspiration for my next character...I want to keep it a secret from all of you for now, but it's very hard because I'm really excited about it lol. Must resist for the sake of surprise!

As someone who really enjoys sarcasm, I imagine being friends with someone like him is a lot of fun :) I'll see what I can do with this...So far all of your comments have given me some good "character parts" hehe :P

For example the traits I’ll like in a villain won’t necessarily be the same traits I’d like in a hero, not to mention the setting and theme will influence what traits I’d like in a character too. Though this is an ASMR roleplay, not a book. So I shouldn’t get all up in the weeds and should probably be thinking along the lines of archetypes rather than a complex character study haha If we’re talking what character traits I personally most often enjoy in an ASMR roleplay it’d have to be the gentle, nurturing/comforting sort of type. Especially if there’s just a touch of possessiveness/yandere. Though…when I think of a tinkerer none of those traits really come to mind. I’d think of a tinkerer as someone a little socially awkward, finding it hard to carry a conversation if it’s not about machines. I could picture them being the shy type, and easily flustered when it comes to personal matters. I think somewhere along the lines of a dandere/hajidere would play into that quite well. Those are just my thoughts and opinions though, I’m sure I’m gonna enjoy whatever you’ve got cookin’! (christ that was a lot of weeb-speak I just spouted haha)

The character's name is Ibuki Mioda from Danganronpa 2 (I'm gonna include a link at the bottom of this post to show what she looks like for you or anyone else who isn't familiar as the Danganronpa games are Mystery/Detective games and searching names is a good way to get spoilers lol). But in text form, to accompany the picture, for physical things I like knee/thigh highs, jewelry (neck, fingers, wrists, etc.), multi-colored hair, piercings, and long hair. Also though on the personality side of things she has a few traits I really like as well such as being deredere and a bit of an airhead but not super dumb either. In more general things tho I like edgy designs as a whole tbh. I talked a little bit about rouge designs in a prior comment and that's still something I enjoy as well. 2023-05-30 13:25:39 +0000 UTCHmm character traits. I’m going irl and describing my buddy Levi, he’s an interesting one. I’m going to call this trait sarcasm, but I’m talking dead face sarcasm. Combined with the will to piss people off, and push the limits of social interactions. Example: We’re walking into Walmart late at night, and some older gentleman is walking up next to us. He turns to Levi and asks “hey you know if they’re open today?” Levi replied “nah man they’re closed” as he then walked right through the door. The dude had already turned around before he noticed we walked right in.. yeah he didn’t find it funny. Anyway I hope that counts idk if you can use that in a character or not lol
