Jill Valentine RE5 Wallpaper Release

Hope you've been doing well since my last post!

Sorry things were quiet this month. August just ended up being a very busy month for me, and I was sick for awhile as well. I thought about making an update post, but I didn't really have anything update-worthy to share, since, at the time, I wasn't sure when or even if I would have the free time and energy for Blender this month. And, as I've mentioned before, I don't like bothering you all with posts that essentially amount to nothing.

Anyway! Moving on to today's render. I decided to make a SFW wallpaper in homage to a piece of RE5 art I really like. Perhaps you've seen it before and will recognize the pose/concept! I recreated it in Blender as best I could match by eye, and think I did pretty well. Not an exact match but pretty close. The background is a screenshot I took myself from RE2R's unlockable concept art gallery, using a custom-made ReShade filter, then applied additional post-processing in DaVinci Resolve.

Speaking of post-processing, this render has two styles, show above in order: "stylized color grading" and "sharp." I also rendered both RE5 hair and RE3R hair versions! And if you're not a fan of the afterimage on the left-hand side, I also included variants in the watermark-free MEGA drive that omit it, so you can hopefully find at least one version to your liking :)

As for a "soft" post-processing variant like I've typically included for my recent RE renders, to try and emulate how the games look with all the various graphic settings enabled, I played around with the look but wasn't a fan. These wallpapers work much better with Jill in sharp focus, so instead of wasting time polishing a variant I didn't care for, I focused my efforts on making the "stylized color grading" and "sharp" post-processing variants look their best.

In closing, I know this isn't a NSFW release, so I do apologize to those of you that might be disappointed. But this was where my inspiration took me. If nothing else, hopefully you can enjoy the lighting and Jill's butt, which looks pretty good in that skin-tight battlesuit if you ask me. And, as usual, these embedded images are the downscaled versions (due to image embed limits), and you can find copies of both these and the native resolution versions all in the MEGA archive!
