Plans for 0.56

Hope you're enjoying the new Bakery stuff! Please let us know what you think and give us feedback on here or on our discord.

Our next step is continuing the route and getting it finished with the route-locks finished we're able to look at each individual route as a more linear experience and we no longer have to account for conflicts and other game states.

In a way the idea of the route locks has always been like picking what type of game you want to play and after 6 long years we're here.

Now, what I want to achieve is to finish the writing for at least two routes every year if we are able to achieve this every year then the game should be complete or near completion by 2030. I know I know that's a long way away, but as long as our budget doesn't dwindle too much then we should be able to make that date.

Writing:
For the next update we'll have around another 15 events for the Bakery and new Aeon events, last update the writing for the next Aeon event got finished in the last few days of the update so we were unable to get them added into the game in that minuscule timeframe.
Additionally, we will have some new events elsewhere in the game like for Kate and potentially some new random events for the Bakery depending on our budget.

Artwork:
It breaks my heart to tell you guys this, but our latest background artist (Keiraworks), who has been responsible for some absolutely phenomenal backgrounds like the Aquarium, Rockhopper Store, and Damien's House, will be leaving us today leaving behind one final batch of backgrounds being the new Record Store, Ice Rink, and House Party backgrounds.
Hopefully one day we will have the chance to work with him again on another game.

We do have a new background artist (LYIB) who has made the Country Club background you see in the bakery and he will be taking over the position.

For the next update we'll be adding more CG Scenes of course and we'll be updating almost every sprite in the game. We won't be remaking every sprite, but the scaling is going to be altered a bit so the sprites will take up a bit more of the screen and not look as proportionally different from our Main character.

MISC:
I'm going to handle the Patreon a little differently, usually I'll wait until we have art to share or something significant to talk about, which makes posts on the Patreon random and far between. So what I'm going to do going forward is to have a Content Update post and a Development Update post every Friday. There's a good chance there may not be any new artwork to share and a content update will not be posted and I'll mention this in the development update.

I want to interact more with you all and that's what I'm going to do with that.
