I hope your holidays have been going well so far and you're taking the time needed for yourselves. As for us, we've been working our asses off on getting this update ready to go, a few sacrifices are going to need to be made to make sure this version doesn't ship broken. As much as that saddens me...
I'm really excited to show you guys what we've been cooking up so far, but I want to keep it a surprise, so that in a way it's like a Christmas gift from us to you while also giving hope for a better year going into 2024.
We've also have a roadmap of sorts leading up to the final public version of the game coming at some time in between 0.52 and 0.55. One thing I can share is that I've been playing through the game myself like any player would and working my way down every route, there are quite a few things I'm not quite satisfied with, mostly hold overs from the early days of development when our budget was very small.
You'll see quite a plethora of smaller changes to sprites, CG placements, expressions, and some minor writing changes here and there.
One thing you might be thinking is "Why don't you play through the game every update?" well Uni, even halfway done, is a pretty massive game; to do a normal slow playthrough of the game every update would require a dedicated QA team, which I'd honestly love to have, but we cannot afford. So we test the scenes and events themselves as we implement them and make sure they're working correctly from there as that saves us the most time.
I'll talk more about that roadmap once 0.50 is released. For now I'm gonna get back to work on it, I haven't posted anything on the Patreon in a while and figured I should let you all know we're still alive and kicking.
