Hey, everyone! With the release of Space Rangers INTERROGATION, I'll soon be returning to my regularly scheduled content including monthly polls and a mixture of my original characters and fan art of characters from a certain company.

Plus, I'll also now be working to add stuff to the game semi-regularly! If you're in the Backseat Developer tier, expect to be able to vote on that in the near future as well.

I'll likely be starting everything back up properly in February, with the rest of January used to both take a breather and finish up some outstanding art trades with some of the guest artists who did work on the project. (Expect some princesses and a certain researcher of ancient technology coming up next!)

I'm also planning on starting work on another full length, fully voiced motion comic soon. I already have a few good ideas, so expect to be able to vote on what that will entail at some point soon! Elements from my next comic will also be added into Space Rangers INTERROGATION in a big update.

In the meantime...

Who is your Favorite Space Ranger?

Now that you're able to get your hands on all four of the Rangers in Unit Delta-36, who is your favorite? This won't necessarily determine which characters get the spotlight in my next motion comic, but I want to get a feel for everyone's opinions on each!

The Space Rangers of Unit Delta-36 are a squad of Sci-Fi heroes who just so happen to be prone to getting captured!

Toy with Holly Nova, Samantha Terra, Director Luna, and Ari LeBelle as much as you'd like in a variety of scenarios, book-ended by fully voiced visual novel sequences! The game also features 18 End Screens drawn by over a dozen guest artists!

• Trying to run the game on certain devices may result in a number of transparency issues that cause various objects to appear in front of the characters.

• The first time you load an interrogation scene in the web version, the game may freeze for a bit as it loads. This should only happen once per session. If your device doesn't have enough memory, it may result in a crash.

• This game is pretty resource intensive and may crash on lower end devices! You'll probably need a mid-to-high power phone or tablet to have enough memory to load the web version. Please make sure your browser has any "hardware acceleration" features turned on! The dedicated Windows download may also help if you're on PC and having trouble.

• The end screen and included fan artwork is at half-resolution in the Web version to save on space. To see the full res pieces, download the Windows version!

• Game updates may overwrite your gallery unlocks!

Space Rangers INTERROGATION Update

Hey, all! Here's a quick (final?) update on the state of the free little Space Rangers game I've been working on since May of last year!

Some of you may have seen that I ran a quick poll to let the Backseat Gamedev tier determine what feature was squeezed into the game at the last second!

As a thank you, I tried my hardest to do more than one and ended up getting in the top three! In the above clip you can also take a peek at some basically final gameplay featuring Director Luna.

Game Release

The game is, effectively, done. This was far more of an undertaking than I could have possibly imagined (and far more expensive, too!), but I'm super happy with the end result and the potential for even more stuff to be added in updates. I'm working on the final steps needed to get the web version built and uploaded to Newgrounds and similar sites within the next couple days.

The web version will be playable on PC, Mac, and Mobile, but I should be able to compile a dedicated PC version shortly after. Expect to be able to get your semi-transparent floating hands on the Rangers soon!

As a more general update on the game, I mentioned it in my latest Backseat Developer Post but I'm still waiting on the final versions of a couple pieces of guest art, some VO, etc. and getting the story scenes implemented is taking a little longer than I'd like. (Speaking of, you can preview a full story scene in that dev post!)

My release target of Jan 1st might be pushed back roughly a week or so, but I have obligations starting on the 12th so I'll be getting the game out by then no matter what!

December 2025 Update!

Hey, everyone! It's been a hot minute since I've done a public update on Space Rangers: INTERROGATION! Here's a cold minute of new gameplay, showcasing a mission starring Holly (VA: dove nyxx) that takes place in a freezer! (It felt appropriate... Tis the season!)

I've been hard at work tinkering with the game, and I'm approaching the finish line! I'm currently targeting a release date of January 1st, 2026 for the web browser (also playable on Mac and Mobile!) and PC versions.

Update on my Usual Content

I normally do suggestions and requests each month, but through December I'm going be focusing entirely on developing the game. This means I won't be doing the usual round of render suggestions / poll voting.

Instead, I'll be doing quite few public previews available to all tiers like the video above, showcasing the game in action!

Backseat Developer Tier

As a reminder, this game will be 100% free, but that doesn't mean it has been cheap to produce! Between four fully voiced characters, (Holly, Sam, Luna, and even Ari), over sixteen drawings from more than a dozen guest artists, and even commissioning original music, I've been investing as much as I can to make the game as awesome as possible.

If you'd like to show your support and get more in-depth updates, plus the ability to shape what features make it in to the launch version of the game, please consider upgrading to the Backseat Developer tier!

Not only can you read the latest dev post that features another couple minutes of gameplay (featuring Sam in her swimwear!), I'm also currently running the first of many polls to decide what I should prioritize making for the game, with the following options:
