Lil update (and sneak peek of chapter 2)

I'm almost done with all the content for this month. Surprisingly (or unsurprisingly?) G won the Spicy poll as well. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many wanted spice with M (so I will get to work on that). The fluff and spice are done and queued for this week. I need to finish the holiday drabble, it somehow turned into a flashback that I had to cut because who wants to deal with Chris right now? I will be adding that part to the game tho. Cam's pov will release on the 27th and it's a lengthy one, over 17k. You'll now find the majority of the content sorted into different categories in the collection tab for ease of access.

I've made some progress on Chapter 2. It never fails that I rewrite the first scene a good 2-3 times. I'm still deciding on a quote for the chapter that works as well as the one from Chapter 1. I'm attempting to add a glossary into the game, especially for when Ardent is using Greek, I'm hoping it will be coded into the little demo update that includes the ability to choose more than one piercing/tattoo. (Not to mention a brief moment with Em's dog Rudey.)

Overall this month has been...something else. My personal life has been kicking my butt. I wasn't banking on a bad breakup before the holidays, but it's fueled my writing. This is a scene that takes place toward the middle/end (tbd which one it's closer to) of Chapter 2. The scene will end up branching quite a bit. I'm anxious to finish fleshing it out, but also excited to see how people play it. So...sneak peek of Chapter 2 down below.

“Leave it to a narcissist to put things into perspective,” [redacted] says dryly.

Someone tries to laugh, but it’s quickly stifled, poorly masked by a cough.

“What did you just say?” [redacted 2] slams their hand onto the table, sending wine sloshing from the crystal glass. Deep red spreads across the once-pristine tablecloth, soaking in, clinging to every thread it touches.

Fitting, given the conversation—another illusion of perfection, ruined.

You scoff, the sound cutting through the tension. Several pairs of eyes snap to you, the one who had stayed silent, the one who had endured this mess.

I've been finding small comforts in the recent snow we've gotten. Just enjoying the calm before the holiday storm really. But I'll keep it in mind. Thanks Sarah~

I'm so sorry that you've had a rough month. I'm glad it's fueled your writing, but take your time to recover emotionally too, if you need it! 🫂
