Progress Report

I think a few things that I hope Cyber takes into consideration when talking about video ideas is I’d honestly love to see him talking about all the “mainline” series’, by that I mean the TV shows and maybe the OVA incorporated in there and further detail about them. I’d love to see what he thinks of them and talk which are bad and good in terms of storyline and characters. I think it would make a great video because I mean you’ve covered the comics which was pretty neat, what if you extend that outside media and have a video on the TV series’? I’d think it be pretty cool too if Cyber talked about a bit about the film that released earlier this year. I know he spoke about it in a podcast that its name I cannot recall but there is so much stuff BTS wise that would nice if he covered. Just a few ideas, I look forward to what you do next...

Are you going to talk about the ring box in Hydrocity that's actually two ring boxes that I messaged you about in 2017? I feel like I can't find a single other person on the internet who's said anything about it and it would really help with my anxiety if you mentioned it so that that information was out in the world.

With all that's happened since 2017 with Sonic 3, I'm honestly very excited for a "Sonic 3 bonus video" especially with the release of Sonic 3 AIR and it's continued updates and the Sonic 3 Proto being dumped, I think it'd definitely make for a really good video and presumably a decent follow up to the Sonic 3 Complete video. As far as merch goes I'd probably buy some goofy merch even if it's just your logo or some random quotes on a shirt or coffee mug... or maybe even a coaster.

Streaming on YouTube would be the best choice imo. I'd love to get my hands on some weird Cybershell merch really only to make people wonder what the hell I'm wearing lol. Maybe you could come up with a neat logo design. On the topic of more uploads I'd love to see more videos about your thoughts on the Sonic comics and shows, that'd be great. Anything from you is great though, so yeah.

Definite preference for youtube on the streams, because if you’re streaming it will be the first thing on the homepage for subscribers.

Honestly if there's morons who wanna buy merch just take their money and use it to make me more videos. Regarding streams production value really isn't a concern for me personally, overlays and other such nonsense really don't add much for me. As long as it isn't laggy and the quality is reasonable I'm happy. I would be against always using a webcam but every once and then might be a nice change. I did really enjoy the streams when you were doing them, even with it being only every month or two. More often would be nice, but do what is comfortable for you. In conclusion, thanks for coming back.

I know this has nothing to do with this post but I recently rewatched your Banjo Kazooie episode (which is fantastic, reminded me of the excellent "PokeGods" video by YuriOfWind) and I needed to say this. When I was a kid, I loved the Crash Bandicoot games and just after the 3rd game came out, there was a kid at school who told me that in Crash Bandicoot 2, at the very beginning of the game where you start on the beach and you end up being sucked up a teleport by Cortex; that if you could successfully slide past that vortex then you would find a Gem that unlocked everything in the game. The way the beach level is done, it looks like you can actually continue up that path. So day after day, me and my friend would start the game, try and slide past the teleport and fail. We of course never once did it. Years later I played Crash 2 again and I felt a strong sense of nostalgia and melancholy. Part of me knew that it had been utter BS all along, but part of me believes that you can get past it and even now, a part of me still does. I haven't even looked up online all that much if you can get past it because a part of me doesn't want to lose that sense of wonder, that mystery that is usually ruined by the modern internet. I am not saying the internet isn't good for mysteries, the mystery of the Michael Jackson music in Sonic 3 was fascinating to watch over time as people discovered more and more (culminating in that excellent Pop Fiction episode). Or how people worked together to beat PT. The internet can be mysterious for a lot of things. But for my own childhood memories of games? It can cause utter destruction so I try not to search the things I remember. Maybe, just maybe, what I believed as a naive kid will come true, and I will be vindicated.

About that sonic 3 prototype, I feel like sega could easily just replace the music in the genesis games with the prototype music, so that way that can FINALLY sell the game again, and I get that it's on steam but that version is so bad and it suffers of input lag because it's the one made by d3t and not m2, even tho m2 are emulation masters and make great ports of sonic 1 and 2 on switch and 3ds, they even went as far as to rewire some code for the 3ds vertion so the 3d would work properly. And all d3t did was dump like 20 roms into a subpar emulator and charge you 30 bucks. Sorry for ranting, I just really like M2 because they make great ports of sonic 1 and 2. They aren't like Christain Whitehead levels of amazing, but they do add a ton of cool things like the drop dash and challenge modes. TL;DR m2 should make a sonic 3 and knuckles sega ages game with the prototype music so they don't get sued.

Been enjoying your content since your Archie Sonic Comics came into my recommended videos and you put out some great vids. I love the sonic stuff and it def feels like a staple but honestly with how you've handled your recent vids I could be down with listening to you talk about the Sopranos or really anything for elongated periods of time, your vids have a good flow and vibe to them I very much enjoy your sense of humor and editing style. I don't mind waiting for content just as long as you're happy with what you're making.

As far as twitch vs. youtube goes, I prefer youtube but if you went with twitch it would be most convenient for people if the VODs got uploaded on youtube too after the fact. I don't watch twitch much these days and don't go out of my way to watch archived streams there, but on youtube I could at least add it to my watch later list for when I have time. Just my perspective as a viewer, but if twitch ends up being way easier on your end then no complaints from me
