Denizens of the Tower! In The Radiant Sepulcher, the heroes come to the fourth desert temple in the Scalding Duchy. This remote compound is shrouded in mystery as many rumors and legends say that the light within its halls spells death. The walls and floors of this dungeon are encrusted with inlays of an unknown, emerald metal that glows on its own. This light, this Radiance is noxious to living beings. It slowly saps your life force and leaves you a barren husk.
The characters soon find out that this place is where the goblin chieftain Minsteth is buried. The strange, glimmering metal was mined from the nearby range because of its glowing properties but dozens of blacksmiths perished crafting and placing the deadly inlays. This adventure features a gradual poisoning mechanic that shall keep the characters on their toes. Will they explore this place with caution? Will they leave when poisoned halfway or dare to explore one or two more rooms before heading out? Only the most resilient shall survive this place...
Unique goblin variants and desert creatures are part of this adventure. Statblocks for these new monsters are available for D&D 5e and Shadowdark RPG. You can find them in the regional release of The Scalding Duchy here.
