In Zarveck City, the characters start their adventure in the region or return from a perilous quest in a remote settlement or location. Zarveck City is a boiling pot of problems because of the civil unrest. The peasants are fed up and tired of the high tacation policies established by Countess Eleanor Zarv. Alas, she has become a recluse in Zarv Palace who seldom grants an audience to the population. An outlaw organization called the Zarvish Front, supports the rulership claim of a man named Indigo. They claim Indigo is therightful heir and not Countess Eleanor.

In this Shadowdark settlement, the characters may gossip around, party all day long, find work, or lay low after upsetting the authorities. The populous settlement is the best place in the county to find especial services and items. The characters may also come here and squander away their adventuring money in days-long parties. Carousing in Zarveck City may lead them to new adventures, interesting patrons, and increase their regional renown.

This adventure has been designed for Shadowdark RPG through their 3rd party license. The system is meant to be accessible to OSR players and modern players alike. Adapting the material to 5e or other systems should not be difficult.
