Final Fight MD: General News - December / 2024

Guys, unfortunately, a supporter leaked the ROM on a Mediafire server, among other places, which unfortunately disrupts the project in several ways. I don’t take this as a sign of disrespect towards me, but rather towards the other supporters who are part of this project and have the right to early access and participation in testing. For this reason, I will finish fixing some known bugs and release a public ROM soon.

Despite this leak, I had hoped to finish the game this year, but I realized that to make it a more stable and complete game, I’ll need to finish it by the end of February, or sooner if nothing unexpected happens.

Not all news is bad, though. I’d also like to thank the supporters who have been testing and sending me videos and other details—you are helping Final Fight MD become a better game!

I also want to thank everyone who has been supporting me even without giving feedback, as I know you believe in my work as a whole, not just in Final Fight MD. Thanks to you, I was able to invest in equipment to make my development faster and more comfortable, and with that, I hope to meet your expectations.

My dear supporters, you are amazing! Thank you so much!

Final Fight MD: Notícias Gerais - Dezembro / 2024

Pessoal, infelizmente algum apoiador vazou a ROM em um servidor Mediafire, entre outros lugares, o que infelizmente atrapalha o projeto em vários aspectos. Não levo isso como uma falta de respeito comigo, mas sim com os outros apoiadores que fazem parte deste projeto e têm direito ao acesso antecipado e participação nos testes. Por esse motivo, terminarei algumas correções de bugs conhecidos e lançarei uma ROM pública em breve.

Independente desse vazamento, tinha esperanças de terminar o jogo este ano, mas percebi que para torná-lo um jogo mais estável e completo, deverei terminar o jogo até o final de fevereiro ou até antes, se nada inesperado acontecer.

Nem tudo são más notícias, gostaria também de agradecer aos apoiadores que têm testado e me enviado vídeos e outros detalhes, vocês estão realmente ajudando o Final Fight MD a se tornar um jogo melhor!

Agradeço também a todos que estão me apoiando mesmo sem qualquer feedback, pois sei que estão acreditando no meu trabalho como um todo, não apenas no Final Fight MD. Graças a vocês pude investir em equipamentos para tornar meu desenvolvimento mais rápido e confortável, e com isso espero cumprir a expectativa de vocês.

I've written down everything on your list and will implement what I can. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I won't be releasing a new version of FFMD this Christmas, it will probably be on the last day of the year. The game is scheduled to be finished by the end of February, as I'll be taking a vacation on February 10th, which will give me 15 consecutive days to program. I've decided to push the completion date back a bit to include some surprises for everyone.

Hello, Mr.Xavier. I’m super excited to see this year’s Christmas update of FFMD! So, I’d like to share almost all the details to be in the game that I referred to so far before that.(Sorry this might be a bit too late) As always, there are too many things that I think is needed, so please don’t take it as something like homework list for your winter vacation(笑) But of course, I’d highly appreciate it if you can make some of these suggestions possible. All the things I’ve ever mentioned about and not implemented in the game: 1. Make enemies’ walking cycles more slow and more Arcade accurate. 2. Mega crash still causes a bit too much damage to players. 3. There’s an Easter egg that both Edi.E and Abigail have hidden hit boxes on their back when they get up after defeated in the arcade version(I lately knew that this only happens in case they were defeated by throwing attacks). 4. Sodom is able to attack backward while looking at players in the arcade version. 5. Edi.E’s gum gives players 42910 points, which implies the developer of Final Fight, Nin Akira’s Birthday(Showa 42nd, September 10th) in the arcade version. 6. Bred, Jake, Simons, Dug, J, Two.P, Axl, Slash and Andre disappear more slowly, and G.Oriber, Bill Bull, Wong Who, Holly Wood(Molotov man), El Gado, Poison and Roxy disappear more quickly after defeated. 7. Edi.E’s bullets can be warded off by hitting them with any weapons. 8. Holly Wood, El Gado and Rolento bounce twice after Haggar’s Pile driver. 9. Poison and Roxy move around once before they do the jump kick(This is just another moving pattern that is probably needed to be in the game). 10. Holly Wood and El Gado’s slide causes a damage before they even move(to be precise they can hurt players 2 frames before sliding). 11. Molotov man can also do the jumping attack after he was grabbed and let go, but its damage is as weak as the damage when a player hits other player. 12. Throwing-attack prevention should be able to be activated until players get away from the bosses after getting thrown(same as the arcade). But if you want to make it more difficult to prevent throwing for difficulty adjustment, how about making it arcade accurate in the easy mode and then making it more difficult gradually as the game level changes? 13. This hasn’t been demonstrated perfectly yet, but probably there are 2 types of dash attacks for each Andre-type enemies and G.Oriber-type enemies in the arcade version: Andre’s first type of dash is just running forward, and the second type is running diagonally. As for G.Oriber, the first type is running middle or long distance slower while moving his legs slowly, and the second type is running short distance much faster with his legs moving super fast. 14. Goons’ kicking sound is still the same as the punching sound(jump kick was ok). 15. Sodom doesn’t have running sword attack yet. 16. Haggar’s choking voice is not included yet. 17. Round 6 clear jingle and continue screen theme is not available in the Jukebox mode. 18. This may be hard to implement, but are you going to add the main character introduction demo to the game? I’m sure it’s not easy to rearrange that part, but I came up with an idea. How about starting the demo automatically when the game doesn’t receive any action from controllers for several seconds on the title screen? New suggestions and discoveries 1. I suppose this is a personal arrangement by Mr.Edmo Caldas himself, but Trashcan Trasher and Andre Family Cage Match have completely different loop patterns compared with them in the original arcade. 2. Cody and Haggar might be better if they can smash the door in Stage 1-2 with faster punch motions. 3. Is it possible to show enemies’ health indicator when players got hit or their attacks blocked?

Hello, This is not good news and I'm not surprised. Alas, we live in a world where respect is a thing ignored by many, and it affects me to think of the discredit brought to the whole group of supporters. However, I hope this project succeeds, as it is truly remarkable. In spite of everything, I wish you a happy holiday season and all the best for the future.

Sucks someone leaked it. I let several friends play it at my house and they loved it but I refused to give them the ROM and instead told them to pay you a few bucks instead. Not like you're asking for anything unreasonable for this project. I'm happy to continue to support you throughout this project.

As unfortunate as it is, I think it's great that none of earlier builds got leaked; good luck for the remainder of the project. The result is already amazing and you can be extremely proud of yourself. You should take your amazing brawler engine and do an original (brawler) game next! (I know you have other plans first.)
