I'm redoing many parts of the code to remove the slowdown and make the game as stable as possible. I confess that this is taking a lot of time and has become a big challenge, but I'm sure that everything will go as planned.

Yes, sprites were used to cover areas of the hud where the background tiles couldn't reach. The difference is that sprites are allocated and deallocated in real time as the scenario progresses, in order to save resources.
