Current status - Mega Final Fight

First I want to apologize for the delay in posting some news here.

The opening of the new story for the Mega Drive mode is complete and just a few tweaks are left to finish the last extra character.

I was supposed to start developing round 2 but I had problems again due to memory mapping.

The game runs too fast and the bus doesn't have enough time to support switching between banks, which are now more pronounced as the amount of PCM sound and additional animation frames are consuming even more bandwidth.

I'm avoiding as much as possible changing the address of assets directly in the txt file generated by the compiler, because I believe this would be a solution only when development is close to the end.

Meanwhile, I'm adding delays in some points of the code to give the console bus time to handle the transmission of information, however, this causes some slowdown and still doesn't guarantee a free glitches gameplay.

Anyway, it's a delicate moment but totally expected, because I had already noticed before that there are peculiarities in the way that the SGDK treats large sprites (Stef had even commented something about it on Twitter) and there are console limitations that need to be strictly obeyed, where a mere misstep can cause a painful domino effect.

Once the glitches are fixed, I'll post a video with the new opening, and hopefully include a few minutes of gameplay for the new characters.
