163 The Desert of Lost Time (Exclusive)

Hello, Denizens of the Tower!

I'm doing something different this day. This is a regional map based in a location in the system-less RPG setting "Nights of Qualara" They will release this resource with different names and lore than I do, so feel free to check out their Patreon campaign too.

Now about my stuff. It's been a while since I do a regional map. I'm aware that all of you already have your worlds or settings. This is aimed for a sandbox style of game. However, with little preparation, this is a place you can add/adapt to your own world. It could be a continental stretch or a big island. It's a big desert. The PDF includes background lore for the kingdom, and adventure ideas for several locations noted on the map. I also included different versions of the map, one with a hex grid.

The hex grid is 24 miles per hex, which is the standard for on day of travel in D&D.

Oh and I also did and overhaul of the PDF, let me know if you like the new appearance.

Please let me know if regional sandbox-y stuff is desirable to you. Also, I'd like to thank the recent subscribers for joining, I appreciate it.

Hey, newer subscriber here (from your recent reddit thread on /r/dnd). Gotta say, I LOVE the regional maps. Feel free to pop a couple more of these badboys out. Love your work, love the community! Have a good one!

Yeah, I'm with Inzanity here. This sort of generic region maps are wonderful maps to have in one's back pocket.

😁👍 thanks for sharing

Thanks for replying. Exactly my thoughts. It's that wonder in their eyes when they see a map and start figuring where they want to go that fuels what I do.

I, for one, enjoy the regional maps. World building is one of my favorite parts of being a GM and I'm always excited to see other people's maps. I think they can't help but bring a sense of adventure and wonder to the table. There's nothing like dropping a map in front of the players and see both the excitement and wonder of the world around them while they decide where to adventure to next.
