I like these type of narrative games, I enjoyed Invincible (adaptation from Stanislaw Lem). Said that I would welcome figuring out light gameplay that works for these. It seems design struggles to create something that sticks. It feels still something I would pick up at sale. Thanks J 😊

Nice review. Still sounds intriguing despite the limitations you highlight.

I really wanted to love this game, but you hit the nail on the head in terms of its shortcomings. Worst part of the story being questionable is, if you want to replay it to try to figure out what’s going on, you have to tediously slog through every single step of the investigation, and you can’t skip any cutscenes, nor can you even skip half of the dialogue. And the real shame? The ending actually is a *little bit* clever once you figure out what’s going on. But I had to look it up to accomplish that, and still didn’t get all of my questions answered. Quite a bummer. I don’t regret spending the money on it, though! Nor do I regret the time spent playing it. It was decently enjoyable. Just missed a ton of its potential, unfortunately.

That, I think, was a really good review! It told me about the story's themes, about the gameplay (or lack thereof) and about... let's say story quality, while showing the game's visual and audio aspects. Also included was some info on play time and replayability/branching paths. I feel like I know what I need to know to decide if that is a game for me (like, for a rainy weekend) or not. And while I feel like I don't lack any important info, I would love to hear Jess tell me more about her experience with the game - which speaks to the quality of Jess' writing and narration in this one.
