Tokyo

These photos were taken in Tokyo during my trip to Japan. David reached out to me on Instagram that he was visiting from Michigan and usually shoots fashion in New York. Since we were both new to Tokyo, I thought it’d be fun to explore together. We had lunch, wandered the city capturing shots that inspired us, and later had a mini photo shoot at the hotel. These shots are some of my favorites from a recent shoot with Erek. I made the drive out to Snoqualmie, and it was well worth it. The area was private, quiet, and calm. The forest had golden light peeking through and in the photos, you can see just how small I look in contrast to the towering trees and vast landscape. There was something really majestic about that.

About my last post — a little update!

My friend ended up responding, and things actually turned out even better than expected. He chose to use himself as the subject and created a self-portrait for the upcoming art show. I thought that was such a powerful decision. There’s something really impactful about an artist putting themselves into the frame …it adds a layer of vulnerability and truth. Honestly, submitting a self-portrait feels bold and meaningful. I truly hope he wins!

Missed

I really messed up today—I missed my alarm and ended up missing a photoshoot that was incredibly important to me. It wasn’t just with a photographer I admire, but someone I also consider a close friend, which makes it feel even heavier.

Pose Practice

Just a few screenshots from a video — I’ve been practicing posing and keeping a record of classic poses that work well for my modeling gigs. I’ve always loved simple, dynamic, and timeless poses. My Peace

The spa was hands down my favorite part of the hotel stay. They provide cozy pajamas and slippers, and you head down to the spa carrying your towel. Before entering, you place your slippers in a plastic bag and store them, along with your pajamas, in a cubby—since the spa experience is done nude.

Upon entering, the first step is to wash thoroughly at one of the shower stalls (that’s where I’m sitting in the photo), and then you soak in the large, serene hot tub. Afterward, there�...

Art Nude

There are some pictures of me in here where I’m wearing a bodysuit and it was because we had to maneuver around people. All around I think we had an amazing shoot, managing to squeeze in some artistic nudes. I love posing nude with nature, it’s always brought me peace and to be captured like this is all I could ever ask for.

These were taken at sunset with a strobe at the beach. I met up with Minh, 15 years later! He used to be our photographer for Hooters, back when I was a Hooters girl. I thought a typical bikini shoot like we used to do for the Hooters Calendar would be a fun reunion.
We had fun until the sunset. A good time, like nothing had changed.
I feel blessed at 34, to be doing things that still make me feel like the Hooters girl I am at heart!

One of my model friends handed the model gig to me since she was out of town.

Looking back at these photos from late June 2023, I wonder why I didn't share more. I'm happy to have these beautiful photos of my face. For a while I started hiding my face because I went through a critical stage... I was putting too much thought into it. Anyways, comparison really is the thief of joy and I can't compare myself to girls with big teeth and perfect wide open-mouthed smiles. My smile is more of a genuine, in the moment kind of smile.

I recently took these with cvd.images/ Lucien.

He wasn't sure what to shoot that day, so I brought a few random props and we both agreed to do something with the plastic sheet. Sometimes I think even just standing there has a cool aesthetic...the simple pose gives it a bit of a mystery.

I didn't edit the last image because I wasn't that excited about that one, though I was hoping for a better result because the concept is cool.
The third and fourth image are on my print shop... I already printed them and they look so crisp and gorgeous! They turned out better than I could have imagined. These were taken at Red Rock Canyon Park in Vegas.

Mermaid

I have been focusing on modeling rather than photography, because photography has high demand and the people demanding aren’t understanding of the amount of work it takes. I’m underpaid, under-appreciated or expected to do free work.It’s also the ownership people think they have over me when they do pay. The interaction becomes insensitive.

It’s crazy how I’m getting paid more being a model, and I don’t feel like I am putting nearly as much work into that as I have my photog...
