Also, so you ladies know, even though it was made in 1983, it takes place in the 1940s, so things which were more exciting back then aren't quite so much nowadays. I used to like this movie a lot, but having seen it multiple times every Christmas it's sure gotten boring. It's really easy to relate to Ralphie though when you're a kid who's eagerly wanting a certain Christmas present SO SO bad and you've got no money. I could tell Ellie was quite empathetic with him, and could easily put herself in his shoes. The kid who plays Ralphie was also the now adult bald scientist guy in the first Iron Man movie! "TONY STARK BUILD THIS IN A CAVE, WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!" Ralphie: "I'm not Tony Stark. (I'm RALPHIE!")
