Disney is genius at producing films that appeal to the widest audience spectrum that appeal to kids, teens and adults. The monkey and flying carpet obviously to the kids, the genie to everybody (credit to the late Robin Williams at his very best). Parents would take kids to the theater again and again because they loved it too, the love story and that universally beloved song. Iago the parrot had crass humor for adults that went over the heads of kids but slapstick physical humor kids squeel to. LOVED the silly bit the girls did at the beginning with the smoke coming out of the lamp and Michelle popping up from behind couch!
