Larry didn't like it because no one had super powers. That's exactly the point Larry. Which makes Hawkeye so unique in the MCU. Kate wanted to be a hero and she became one using her wits and skill without a Thor hammer. Just a bow and arrows. The drama and suspense is more riveting because she has no super power to rely on.
