I remember when you Guys first watched this, you were in so much shock and disbelief π«’ that something as monstrous as war can happen to anyone anywhere and at anytime. It doesnβt matter who, what, or where you are. War can happen to anyone. Ukraine πΊπ¦ for example. π more young boys/soldiers πͺ are being sent to fight war there. ππππ’π’

2021-10-28 22:59:47 +0000 UTCThe whole plan of D-Day was to get behind enemy lines in to Nazi Germany. D-Day was the largest seaborne & airborne invasion in history. Hitler built what they called the "Alantic Wall" that stretched from the borders of Spain/France to the entire coast of Norway. That whole coastline the Nazis had defenses set up on the beach like what u saw in the D-Day scene. The invasion was spread out in 5 sections in Normandy. This scene in the movie was on what the First Army called "Omaha Beach" it was definitely the bloodiest & deadliest out of the 5.... they're was 4,414 deaths in total on D-Day , and 2,400 of them were on Omaha beach.
