Star Wars - That's Episode VI - Return of the Jedi

The speeder chase was actually filmed in Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park in Humboldt County. This is by Highway 36. Much of the other Forest Moon of Endor scenes were shot in Del Norte County in Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. Sequoia National Park isn't in Northern California.

The speeder sequence through the woods was filmed in Sequoia National Park in Northern California. A steady camera operator walked through the trees filming at one frame per second. When the film is played in it's normal frame rate, it appears like the speeders are going very fast.

Ian McDiarmid, who plays the Emperor, was only 37/38 years old when this was filmed. I loved your reaction to finding out about Leia. It was very heartfelt. There were storm troopers, then snow troopers, now bike troopers. But no "stroopers." It's "Troopers." Speaking of the actor who plays The Mandalorian, he was already famous before. Ellie must remember him from Game of Thrones, right? There was one actor who was in the Darth Vader costume through Episodes IV-VI (with stunt doubles and sword doubles also) and he thought that when they took off Darth Vader's helmet at the end that HE would have his face shown. But they brought in another actor and didn't tell him until later. He was very upset and it ruined his relationship with Star Wars.
