2021-01-29 20:34:43 +0000 UTCThere is an actor (Kenny Baker) who is inside R2-D2, giving him movement and personality. The beeps are provided by the sound effects designer, Ben Burtt. There is also a person with a remote control driving him when he rolls. The actor Anthony Daniels is inside the C-3PO golden suit, playing that character and doing the voice.
