Wow I've been in a GOT hole for a few weeks watching with yall. I love u guys so much. I'm on season 7 episode 1. Ellie had the exact same thought as me when she said Sansa needs to talk to Jon in private about this. Excellent reaction as always. I feel like yall are my family now.

HAHA yea, I doubt GRRM was thinking about feminism decades ago when he started writing. One of the few modern series right now where it doesn't feel forced but is a natural progression of strong female leads.

Really enjoying the reactions! However was compelled to to point out that the fact that this "era" of the show is leading to a lot more female rulers isn't because of "feminism," it's because so many of the men ("rightful heirs" and/or incompetents) got themselves killed off first, so women are the ones left standing. Episode 6 Sorry but Moni, I think is her name, is right. Gendri runs back to Eastwatch by the Sea where Ser Davos stayed behind.

The final two seasons suffered from two problems:
1) They've moved beyond what the author of the books has written so far, so they only have a basic plot structure he gave them to work with and not all of the details of how it really happened.
2) They know how many seasons they have left to finish the story now, and it's not as many as they thought.
Both reasons mean that the story in the show starts to feel rushed at this point. The lack of details, the pacing, and the way people start to zoom around the map doesn't really make sense. I think it's best to think of the last two seasons as a rough draft / sneak preview of what the author really had intended. There's still enough in the show to enjoy if you're imagining what the finished version of the story would look like, rather than looking for fault in what we were given instead. (Although it's certainly harder to do for some episodes than others.) Cheers.

Have to say i disagree alot with you people about episode 6. Almost all of it can be justified and make sense if you really think about it. Not gonna argue about it, you have your opinions and i have mine. But i would love to see you guys trying to think really hard about why people are doing certain things, and not Just say they are stupid without trying to think why they do the things they do 😊 Love your reactions anyway, and looking forward to more, both tv shows and movies 😊

I’m not sure if Ellie understood that Theon didn’t save Yars from euron because that would have meant death for both of them. He escaped because he knew that euron would keep her as hostage which would give them a chance to save her later

Fyi, they sent half of the fleet to dorne to pick up soliders, and get them back to kings landing. Only the other half/small part of the fleet was going all the way around to casterly rock 😊

I am just about to start watching now but season 7 and onwards is where the show really starts to drop off in writing quality so I am sure Larry (if I am correct) is just mentioning grievances that he has with the writing as a lot of people did.

I'm up to the 6th episode, and I'm got to say. I'm very disappointed in your reactions. This is a TV show, and throughout the entire series, there have been really dumb things that have been done, to make the show more appealing and dramatic. All of a sudden this is bothering you? It seems like your nit picking everything now. Why would you say it is stupid not to go to kings landing and kill everyone there? What kind of a show would it be if she just took her remaining dragons and left? Not sure why your feeling this way at all. Is it because you don't like the ending and your starting to build up the hate with petty little things? Oh well, just my rant, I'll watch the 7th episode tomorrow. Maybe, you just had an off day

Just watched first episode and one thing that Ellie misunderstand I think - Daenerys was not a granddaughter of Mad King, she was his Daughter.
Dragon Stone was one of the castles owned by Targaryen house.
Dany was born in Dragon Stone because this happened during Robert's rebellion and her pregnant mother was escaping Westeros with Viserys (Danerys brother) - Rhegar, their older brother (the one who kidnapped Ned Stark sister) was at this moment dead (or not yet), killed by Robert Baratheon in battle. She was born during storm in the same day (as far as I remember) she and her brother left Westeros (her mother died giving birth to her daughter).
Now I can watch episode 2 ;)
