Really happy to see this in higher detail, the carving and paint job done on every bit of it is incredibly delicate for the resources invested and the palette used helps it feel more native to an Ancient civilization or even an Astral environment (I have often used a similar colour scheme on my end for certain projects and original programming over the years; in Microsoft Office 2010, we know this one better as Apex); I can understand too why I thought it was a Horse from afar at the angle you initially presented in the previous post: The shape of the trunk combined with the then~shading of the room and also the position of the Left Tusk (from its point of view/Camera Right) made it look more as if it was wearing Racing Gear and thus to me better resembled what a horse's nose would typically look like, this along with me initially being unable to see the opening between the front and back of the trunk further delivered this incredible optical illusion from afar and it's amazing how well the eyes can perceive such a major difference at first glance (especially if an image is impacted by either its Dimensions or Compression Artifacts). It's welcoming too that you told me you wish to have such a creative prowess to create art pieces of this caliber, Wood Carving is a practice that like Stone and Ice Sculpting requires a very patient and delicate hand and whether you are making the designs, waxing and painting them, or both, I've a good feeling that you will always manage to thrive in the field with every major installment you ever produce; I personally haven't worked on such designs with wood since 2010 (mostly due to a lack of hardware; not to mention Wood Shop classes were hard to come by in the North Shore region of Massachusetts after Grade VIII unless you went to a Vocational and/or Technical Institute), so it would be an overdue revival if I ever return to it in any capacity, it'll probably be mostly confined to the painting process for me in this era but it would be good fun regardless and I can only imagine the styles that would be dived into over time.
