Original Life Story Sheet 04-10-2018

I wasn't sure what to call the weird notes I keep about possible stories that fly into my mind through my day, since it's not actually a brainstorm, more of just a series of buckslips that I eventually put into my phone and compile into a list. And then I draw from that list when I want to add water and expand it into a full story.

But I said I'd share this with those in the Bougainvillea tier and above, and let the discussion unfold. These are very light notes, so I'm not spoiling anything, really. Just sharing where the seeds of ideas come from.

Absurd Homework - A story idea I actually am starting OL5 with, since the first three pages establish the idea perfectly, while also letting me re-introduce each of the three main characters and their driving personalities: Thomas' independence, Janie's zeal for achievement, and Abigail's detached technical prowess.

Janie Joins Facebook - I joined Facebook for the first time a few months back, mainly to follow the local neighborhood watch, and a bunch of old friends glomped on and I went from there. Since then I've developed a lot of ideas about the nature of social media.

Elizabeth Goes Grain Free - Not many ideas here yet, but just some observations since doing this myself, and how others around you react when you do it. Just a little germ of an idea that may billow out into a string of little jokes and then something that feels sort of like an ending.

Cigars vs Vapes - An idea that keeps bouncing around that will probably just be boiled own to a single page. Some of my friends like to inhale candy flavored water vapor. 

Charlie's Girl Football League - An idea bouncing around about the biological reality faced by Charlie, and how she can't out-play boys her age anymore, because of what puberty has done to them.

Charlie's Darkness - Some comically dramatized reality about Charlie's crushes and possible friendzoning experiences.

Insane Shop Teacher - I put this in my phone as a single line and then completely forgot what thought originally triggered it. I have no idea. But just looking at it brings up possibilities.

Helping Thomas' Grades - Another line that I put and then forgot what series of possible events I was thinking of that could have inspired this.

Pellet Guns - More of a prop than an idea entirely, but something to remind myself that Thomas should have one since they live within walking distance of forests and things.

The Plex Server - Another line in the notes where I've lost track of the original idea that prompted it. I think it had something to do with Abigail.
