Fun fact, a handful of the expressions in this comic were heavily inspired by the artwork of Rebecca Sugar. Her expression work has this beauty to it, I'm still not sure how exactly she does it, but she conveys things like earnestness, curiosity and stress perfectly. The ones that astound me the most are the expressions that appear shocked, potentially in a negative connotation, but somehow, you can tell there is a layer of positive wonder behind the face. It's something I attempted to capture here. I'm sure there are particular techniques I'm missing, small details that make me miss the mark, but I am more than happy to learn over time.
