Ahhh... Believe it or not this is a scene I've been waiting for, for a long time... There's a lot of irony and nuance here and I HOPE that comes across like I want it to. The idea that Fletch and Judas have both changed so much throughout this story... Judas having started out as this rolling stone, wandering musician character who was actually seeking to find his way home. And Fletch, sheltered and insecure growing into this character who fears being left behind.
The ticket at the bus stop brings us full circle here... So many things have changed for them both, and yet somehow-- nothing has changed at all has it?
(Oh and for my non-US readers. A straight flight from San Diego to Myrtle Beach is about 5-6 hours.)
