Cuddly (Doodles)
Added 2025-03-14 13:22:16 +0000 UTCThe first doodle in this set is the odd one out-- it's actually a moment from my novel "Honorable Discharge". It's a scene where Beau and Sage buy condoms in the grocery store lol. Back when Sage was more cocky and irritated Beau at every turn.
[[[ Sage was half a step behind Beau, in an aisle with no one else around, when he placed both his hands besides Beau's and trapped him against the cart. He ground his hips into Beau's ass, leaned over and murmured in his ear.
"Wrong size, sweetheart."
Beau dropped the condoms in the cart and shouldered Sage off. He instantly felt hot with embarrassment. "You're out of your mind if you think these are for you." ]]]
The rest of the doodles are of the "Fine By Me" era lol. Dirt trying to win over Judas (and failing). Dirt looking snazzy in his "Got Dirt" hat-- his own rodeo merch! Dirt cuddling with his best buddy Harve! Because Harver is like a cat and only gives affection to people on his terms (or in this case when he's asleep). Dirt seems pleased with these platonic cuddles... I wonder who he sent the picture to though...?

I think you're absolutely right! Guys needs safe spaces/to have other good guy friends in their life. For Harver and Dirt, sexuality was never really even part of the equation (although im sure Harver has had his fair share of feelings like you mentioned above). They're just each others ride or die <3

Growing up all my friends were straight and I had a few close guy friends that knew I was gay but we're cool with it and looked out for me. At the time I was struggling with coming out and lived away from home with horrible dating luck, so having a positive guy relationship was important. Like most, I struggled a little with wanting more, but never crossed that line and think there is something special about that kind of close, personal, brotherly like friendship between dudes that just made me feel safe. The pic hit home. Very sweet
