Character Profile - Aaron Valentine

Aaron Valentine is the 2nd webcomic OC that I ever created, and he came fairly quickly after June. I remember when I was coming up with his design I was working at an ammo factory in very small town, Utah (still finishing a miserable senior year of highschool), and he gave me a lot of "hope", in a sense. I used to sit at the primer-stick machine, watching little tiny bullet pieces spin around and go into a tube to then be fed into another machine. Thinking about him and what kind of story I wanted to tell made me also think about who I wanted to be and what I wanted to do with my life. June had already been an established character, so Aaron also really set the tone for the romantic part of the comic.

Fun facts about Aaron- When I was trying to decide on a name for him, I had made a list and, although I don't remember ALL the names on it, I do remember my top 3 choices... Aaron, Theo, and Pilot. YES, Pilot, as in a pilot who flies a plane lololol. Don't ask me why he was almost Pilot Valentine, but I'm glad I ended up going with Aaron. Haha. Also! Aaron was originally going to be a real jerk of a character. That's funny because he ended up being arguably my sweetest. <3

The story "The Maple Effect" was my very first webcomic, and it's not available online anymore, but you can read the novel re-write of it! (It's better than the comic anyways).
