Character Profile - June Crow

I mentioned in a previous post that I'd like to do some character profiles for all of my characters (or at least, all the main ones!) and you guys seemed to like that idea! So, I'm starting with my very first webcomic OC ever-- June Crow. He's the main character of my very first webcomic "The Maple Effect" that was started way back in 2014, then later re-written as a novel and published in 2019.

Fun fact about June- The very first artwork I ever did of him was actually an oil painting! He didn't have a name at the time, and making a webcomic with him as the main character didn't come until a little later. As the story formed in my head, I decided to name him "June" after June Lake, CA. Which is a place we went on vacation frequently in my childhood. The setting of the story "The Maple Effect" takes place in Bass Lake, CA, which is about 3 hours away from June Lake, and also where my childhood summer vacations were spent! I'm very sentimental about TME <3 And I know a lot of you are too...

The song I chose for June, <<< just to clarify, is the song I associate with him the most. It's also very near and dear to my heart! And I think it summarizes the book better than even I could lol.
